Yes, shorts will cover. And yes, there are costs associated with shorting. That's some serious Captain Obvious stuff, BF. What you can't say is when shorts will cover or at what price point -- and that is what matters. Nor can you justify the current price of the stock based on things like earnings, dividends, market share or anything else. Take your money. It isn't your money until you sell.
You guys are allowing emotion and desire to control your decisions. Invest in a ponzi scheme with ties to organized crime (crypto) and serious risk of being regulated out of existence? - no problem, because your desire for a stateless currency is what is most important to you.
Stay long on firms with businesses whose earnings don't justify their valuations, either now or any time in the coming decades? - no problem, because the 1% likes to suck their own cocks at our expense. True, but not really relevant.
I am very well diversified. I have more in real estate than I do in current AMC and GME holdings, and I hold more gold, silver and platinum than I do crypto (especially now
).
I never once implied the current stock price is based off earnings or company valuation. Yet the current stock price is what the market is currently deciding the price is. I can't say when shorts are going to cover, no one can. There an army of people fully invested, financially, emotionally and intelligently and with great conviction. We are sitting on the much better hand here. All I know is I can remain poor at this point, a lot longer than Citadel can remain solvent.
I got nothing but time on my side.
Dig into it deeper, you might surprise yourself how deep this all goes and how strong the data is in our favor, and how much deeper this goes than a normal stock.
Also just gunna toss out there Citadel alone has been fined 58 times by the SEC in the last decade for violations related to counterfeit synthetic shares. To think those do not exist and the actual short interest and shares on loan are not much much higher, is kind of naive, and what could really make this thing historic. But even without any of those, still extremely bullish. I will be extremely shocked if this does not get to at least 3 digits before this is over, absolute possibility of 4 digits. Harder to buy in now, but when this was $8, knowing everything, was just a completely risk free lottery ticket at the time.
