Any scotch drinkers?
I’ve just recently starting getting into it the last two years or so.
My favorite has been the Glenmorangie 10 year in a realistic price range.
Anyone else have any good recommendations, preferably under like $50 a bottle?

I usually keep some Glenfiddich 12 yr and Talisker 10 yr at the house. Both are priced about right, if I recall. The Talisker is a little smokier and it took some getting used to but I like it. The Glenfiddich is just something I've always had around. It's good, not great, but suits me.
I have really warmed to Red Breast Irish Whiskey. Very smooth and great finish. I'd recommend to anybody looking for an affordable quality sipping whiskey.

Wisconsin Cheese Is Better Than California Cheese!
Anybody a fan of ryes? Looking to get my wife a nice bottle or 2 for her birthday. She likes them spicy, not so much heavy on the herbal notes. Sagamore is one of her favorites. We had a Chicken Cock, and Willett this weekend and they were closer to a gin that a whiskey. Very herbal.
Going back to the scotch conversation from a while ago, I'm only just starting out myself. My first was Bowmore 12 and I enjoyed that. I've got a Highland Park 12 and Talisker Storm as well right now, but haven't had much to form an opinion yet. Outside of those and Monkey Shoulder, I don't have a lot of experience yet. Next on my list for scotch to buy is Macallan 12, Aberlour 12 or A'bunahd, and some Bruichladdie stuff (their standard and maybe Port Charlotte).
If you guys buy online, where do you buy? Looking for a good online store option to try to find things I can't get locally.

Now that I am way past my prime in the area of alcohol consumption I have nothing but dozens for fond memories to be thankful for. For awhile there I was into the Irish Pub scene where I exclusively sipped on Midleton. So smooth the stuff is amazing. If you try it you may never be interested in scotch any more (or less LoL).
I was once at a bar in Seattle where I did taste testing of 18 year Jameson with Midleton, and Midleton won easily. Eagle Rare is up there ........ but not even close to the Midleton level of smoothness.

Back in May, I stopped in my friend's wine shop and one of the guys who works for him brought in some 240-year-old Cognac and 100-year-old Brandy. Both were smooth as silk.
I don't really drink very much anymore. Usually just a beer or two, and I'm pretty all in with sours; Gose, Berliner Weiss, etc. Though this time of year Oktoberfest is around, I love that stuff. I'll usually keep a bottle of bourbon for whiskey sours when I know I'm going to put back a few (playoffs...) to save on calories.

I haven't had a drink in 3 days (kind of unprecedented for me). But I'm guessing the whiskey will be brought out tonight for the game. Kind of a shame, there is only 1 or 2 I have in the collection right now that I'm really enjoying and I'm trying to savor them as they are hard to find right now. Half of what we have is rye and that's my wife's thing. Last couple of purchases haven't been great. Drinkable for sure, but nothing I crave.
This has been my go to. Wish it wasn't $60.
