Just watched "Winter of fire" about the Ukraine "revolution" in 2013-14. Very interesting. I do know that if Putin invades Ukraine, he's in for a fight.

Lilly Collins is hot, but not hot enough to make me want to watch that show lol.
1883 on Paramount +. It is excellent.
I'm caught up with S4P1 now. Can't wait for P2 to be released. This has been a quality show throughout, a rarity in television these days.

Another snow day in my school district.
Reacher series just dropped on Amazon Prime.
Very good so far.

If you're at all into animated series, the crass yet genuine The Legend of Vox Machina on Amazon is very good. It gets real good around the 3rd short episode, spending the first two introducing the many characters and the world.
Tale behind that series getting made is miraculous. A group of voice actor friends were playing Dungeons & Dragons at home, and got invited to play it live on Twitch. They did, with no expectations, and somehow it worked. The show called Critical Role has just been blowing up over the years, ultimately earning them a chance to turn their homebrew thing into the most successful Kickstarter ever, along with a 2-season deal with Amazon.

No, this is an all new series. Good casting and story. I'm a lazy POS and watched the entire 1st season today...wallyuwl wrote: ↑04 Feb 2022 13:44Season 3?Ghost_Lombardi wrote: ↑04 Feb 2022 11:16Another snow day in my school district.

I was thinking of Jack Ryan. That still only has two seasons.Ghost_Lombardi wrote: ↑04 Feb 2022 21:16No, this is an all new series. Good casting and story. I finished it last night. Enjoyed it. Humor mixed with action, a decent storyline, and the acting/production is legitimate. It won't win any Emmy awards but it's good fun to watch.Ghost_Lombardi wrote: ↑04 Feb 2022 21:16No, this is an all new series. Good casting and story. Never watched the Jack Reacher movie starring Tom Cruise. Is it worth the time?
Reacher has been a good go-to-sleep -tool for me. Lazily written TV. The randomly topless male main character, who can't act at all, is pretty funny.APB wrote: ↑24 Feb 2022 06:59I finished it last night. Enjoyed it. The Cruise movie is WAY better, mostly because Tom can act, and there's way more ambition put into it.

If you have never read the novels, then Cruise is probably a better actor. But for those who read first, Cruise as Reacher is about 2 feet and 200 pounds too short.APB wrote: ↑24 Feb 2022 06:59I finished it last night. Enjoyed it. The first Cruise movie as Reichert was pretty good. Second one not so much.Ghost_Lombardi wrote: ↑26 Feb 2022 15:54If you have never read the novels, then Cruise is probably a better actor. Finished watching Upload season 1 on Prime. I enjoyed it and looking forward to season 2 in a week.
Watching the latest Mrs. Maisel season now. 2 episodes in, still a great show.
Next up after those is need to catch up on After Life and The Witcher.

Anybody see the new Batman movie yet? Seeing some mixed reviews.
I have watched sporadic episodes of Deadwood through the years but never dedicated myself to watching the series. I started this past week and am glad I did. Four episodes into season one and I’m bought in for the entire three seasons and movie that puts closure on the series.

It's sometimes nice to go back and watch an old series that you've never really seen. Deadwood is one of those I've been meaning to get to. Kinda doing that now with The Sopranos.APB wrote: ↑14 Mar 2022 09:08I have watched sporadic episodes of Deadwood through the years but never dedicated myself to watching the series.
