Offseason rosters should be unlimited. Cuts by cutdown day.
Wisconsin Cheese Is Better Than California Cheese!
Since waivers ran, shouldn't it be first come, first serve now?

Yeah, fleaflciker always makes this transition tricky. I recall this from last year. Thanks, BF for doing all the leg work this year!
8 claims on Mariota! Surprised no one drafted him. I would have if I had my usual bevy of 4th rounders, haha.
Sad to have missed out on Calvin Austin, too. I guess I should have had him higher in my waiver priority, but I think I would have missed him anyway.

I was trying to snag a 4th late to take him.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑05 Aug 2022 09:39Yeah, fleaflciker always makes this transition tricky. I recall this from last year. Thanks, BF for doing all the leg work this year!

This is going to turn out to be the biggest draft day steal in the history of this league, getting Doubbs.Madcity_matt wrote: ↑16 Jul 2022 22:52Trade!
BF gets 4.3 2022
Madcity gets 4.7 2022 (madcity) and 2023 rd 4 via backthepack
I wanted him but I knew you were going to take him. Should have tried to deal ahead. Big mistake.

Waivers
Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."
So we can just change rules whenever now?

We have never enabled free for all with games actually being played. It should be waivers each week once a player has played that week until waivers process, then it should open up for free for all... no different than the regular season.

But we have never done it this way. It is always a waiver after the draft, then first come first serve. When season starts, waivers hit, then it is first come first serve until games hit.

I just checked FleaFlicker and I stand corrected. I still think this is a better way to do it, but I am good, either way.Packfntk wrote: ↑09 Aug 2022 13:24But we have never done it this way. Wasn't last year the first time we did an early draft? I guess I'm not sure thats 'always' what we've done. Given probably the first 8 years or so we draft towards the end of PS.Packfntk wrote: ↑09 Aug 2022 13:24But we have never done it this way. To be fair, I think it would be a free for all after that initial waivers period. Clearly haven't mastered the FF controls yet.
But thinking about it, I would prefer the waiver process during the games in PS as well.
I get those with the quickest trigger finger paying the best attention should reap those benefits. But at the same time, I don't want to be stressing about adding a fantasy football player Thurs-Saturday night either as fast as I can whenever there is an injury. I'd rather just enjoy life.
I can try to open everything up again if that is what the majority wants, but I'll just have to make sure we do it in a few days again and communicate that message to everyone.

I don't want to cause a huge thing about it, because it is small in the grand scheme of things, I just want everything to be the same year in, year out unless the league votes on it.
I play in a lot of dynasty leagues, and they are all FCFS after the waivers run after the draft, but every league is different. Granted, my other leagues have huge bylaws outlining every rule, so it is different.
