IMO, JJ Watt has too many miles on him. Not worth the money it would take to bring him to GB. That money could be used to sign their own FAs.

Gutey generally uses FA for younger players who have some upside.
How much money is he worth?

All reputation and name too apparently for opposing offensive coordinators.

He is not losing a step, simply a question of if he can stay healthy.

For the #1 offense in the league? We already have him his name is Rodgers. We got another too his name is Davante.

If he brings his brother with him, it’s a deal. :munch:

He can bring his sister with him for all I care. Give her Redmond’s roster spot and it’ll be two wins for this organization.

If JJ comes in, the Packers would have Zadarius, Kenny, Rashan and JJ who would command double teams.

The opponent realistically can double 1 maaaaaybe 2 players if they add a chip here or there. I really want this deal to get done.

If I had to place money right now for leading spots for Watt, it would be:

1. Green Bay
2. Chicago
3. Pittsburgh
4. Buffalo
5. Tampa Bay

Agree, how often do you get a first ballot HOF’er, still playing at an incredibly high level, at a position where you have a need, and he literally actually would prefer to come to Green Bay over just about anywhere else?

You don’t got the money, you find the money.

LIS, far superior player to Preston, can have him on 2021 for a lower cap hit, makes sense and soo many levels.

One quick thing about Preston, we save $8 to release him, but have $8 in dead cap. 4 of that 8 in dead cap is from the 2022 book, so we do free up 4 million in 2022 as well along with his $12.5 salary off the books (Saving 16.5 on 2022, only save 12.5 on 2022 if we release him next offseason). So really saving 24.5 million the next two years. Having given Preston 27.5 for two years, which was probably worth it to get to the championship game back to back years with his help.

I signed JJ to 3 years for 36 million in my mock. We just financially could come out ahead very well on this swap, along with improve on the field.

Of these teams all but Chicago have a legit shot at the postseason. Of the remaining teams all but Tampa have cap issues. :?

How do we know he'd rather come to GB than say the Bills or Bucs? We are assuming it is because he was raised here. I'd love it if we could sign him but I'm not going to get my hopes up. He will sign with the team he feels has the best chance for a ring and he might just pass on GB. :|

At this point tbis is almost a need to happen right? For an Org that has to live with the "only 2 titles with 2 hof qbs" this is a move to heal that black eye.

I will say this can be done financially if they want to do it it can be done.

Make the moves. Extend Adams and get another difference maker to chase qbs
