I don't think they are looking at Fuller as an extension candidate.
the only way it makes sense is if Fuller and his agent are concerned about 2021 cap space issues due to COVID and accepted a 1 yr extension, hitting FA in 2022. There's a lot of uncertainty about 2021, so maybe Fuller takes the bird in the hand
good point, I doubt we'll bring anyone in though, and if we did we could find a cheaper WR threat with that slot guy that was mentioned last week, our problem is we don't have another weapon besides Jones that a DC has to game plan for.

I do find the idea of bringing Cobb back home somewhat appealing, provided the contract isn't an albatross.

I imagine he won't be too pricey, LaFleur could make interesting use of his skill-set (the original Swerve), we can use a slot guy, he already has a rapport with Rodgers, we know he loves being here and will give us a hometown discount to chase SuperBowls (Houston isn't going anywhere).

The only issue with him, as ever, is injuries/staying healthy. But if he won't cost too much, I would dig it.

I had no idea the Giants and Bucs game was that close.

Really wish NYG could have helped us out there.
The Juggernaut Giants took the Unbeatable Buccaneers to the brink of OT.

Probably just figuring out that contract restructure with JJ Watt before they announce the deal for both of them.

While I would take Will Fuller, I don't think a WR is much more than a nominal improvement for the offense, especially with Lazard back.

MLF wants WR, Gutey does not.
Gute was a finalist for the GM job in Houston before the Packers snatched him during his dinner with the Texans owner(s)
So they know each other
Should have let them have him.
Then we would've ended up with Russ Ball as GM :swear:

I mean MVS, Shepherd, EQ and Taylor got 116 snaps in 75 plays.

You replace those 116 liability snaps with above average Lazard and good to borderline elite from Fuller.

I think that will yield to a drastic improvement by the O, which really hasn't been all that good since what, maybe Atlanta?

I think he is such a great compliment to Davante and Lazard as well.

This is the #1 statistic I want to see change, other than margin of victory increasing.

I would say they were good against the Texans. I think consistency is the bigger issue for the offense and I am not so sure another WR (with Lazard coming back) is going to change that. If Lazard was out for the season, I think that would be different. I just don't see the offense averaging 35-40 with Will Fuller.

I don't know. We aren't going anywhere without the defense playing better and I don't believe that is a player issue there (motivation not withstanding). They aren't going to be balls out great, but F'in A Cotton, they should be as good as last year!

Holy hell, giving up 8.43 yards when not in press...

Still hoping Houston would be interested in taking a flyer on MVS with another year of really cheap control to help lower the draft demands.

Like a 5th and MVS sounds great. However I'm guessing its just an offer of a 3rd.

Guessing the Packers may have made their final offer, leaked that story about them not really wanting to do it, let Houston know the ball is in their court.

Cobb would be great, imho considering player positional availability, slot receiver would help this team the most, it's not as though a stud run stopping DLiner is available, our best chance is to out score opponents.

Fuller will be pricy, a guy like Cobb or that other slot guy members talked about last week would be more reasonable.

MF, why did they have to fire O'Brien before the trade deadline?

I can't get behind a bad value trade.

With TT, it (at least seemed) we didn't even explore options.

With Gutey, were doing business, but won't take silly deals. If fine with that.

I feel like the trade deadline should be even later in the year personally. I think they already bumped it back recently, but should be like after week 10.

I don't know.
