I mean...we cheer for the Packers, don't we?Gunzaan wrote: ↑04 Oct 2024 07:21No offense, but it’s easy to predict what they will do: win the division again, miss out on a bye, and be out in 3 games just like this year. The way MLB is set up, why waste your time rooting for a successful farm team? What a waste of a summer!APB wrote: ↑04 Oct 2024 06:07It was a fun year. Disappointing ending, especially with one of the most reliable guys in baseball giving it up, but truth be told I didn't expect much from the Crew had they got past NY.
Now, next year?
Man, they get Yelich and Woodruff back and these youngsters build on what they had this year...look out.
Good luck next year.

The differences between baseball & football are wide and the differences between MLB & the NFL are significant. It’s really hard to compare the two.Acrobat wrote: ↑04 Oct 2024 10:31I mean...we cheer for the Packers, don't we?Gunzaan wrote: ↑04 Oct 2024 07:21No offense, but it’s easy to predict what they will do: win the division again, miss out on a bye, and be out in 3 games just like this year. I meant that the Packers lose in the playoffs every year but we still cheer for them.
Not the greatest point to be made. As I said, the differences between to 2 sports and how they are handled are significantly different.
The amount of games played vs playoff opportunities. (3 game series for 162 games?)
The salary cap difference: the Brewers are at a tremendous disadvantage compared to the Packers.
The fact that the Packers have proven they can win it all.
I could really go on about the differences in the two sports. Regardless, the time/financial/emotional investment in the two teams/sports is entirely different. I completely disagree with your point.

And we cheer for the Brew Crew as well. Getting Gasser, Yelich and Woody back has gotta help.Acrobat wrote: ↑04 Oct 2024 10:31I mean...we cheer for the Packers, don't we?Gunzaan wrote: ↑04 Oct 2024 07:21No offense, but it’s easy to predict what they will do: win the division again, miss out on a bye, and be out in 3 games just like this year.
