Yikes.
Little regression to the mean, we win 2-3 more games.
Lol that's weird that he included percentages with blanks after them.
I could be wrong here but I feel like Aaron Jones did not see the ball nearly enough in the red zone.
Yes.
Dillon gets it way too much. He should be used like the primary back - not a 53/47% split with Dillon.

This is likely Aaron Jones's last year in GB. USE HIM. Be selfish with him and put miles on him.
Sign AJ to a cheap 2nd contract and draft a dude in 2024.

I wouldn't say no to a 3 year rework/extension in the $30 million.

I am 100% on board with this. I think he's the type of player that could still play well into his early 30's, even if maybe as time goes on he becomes more of a 3rd down back.

He has $6.5 million in void money too, so it would take care of that. If we do extend him I might grab his jersey.

Aaron Jones is exactly the type of player and person who would do this. I do however believe only one of AJ or "AJ" will be a Packer next year. Both of them won't be.

Jones could also play to become GB's top rushing leader. He needs 3,038 yards to get it.
Probably a little bit out of reach, but worth a shot if we were to keep him around for another few years.

Right now we can afford one or the other with Love on a relatively cheap deal and all our dead cap money coming off the books this year.
I would personally drop both. Paying RBs in the NFL just doesn’t equal success. You just need a competent runner who can get 4 yards and not turn the ball over. Look at what the Chiefs just did with a rookie RB.

I grabbed an alternate jersey last year and was a little concerned that he might be gone soon, but also realized that he's one of those players where I can still wear his jersey to a game after he's gone and not feel any shame.

AJ and AJ gained 2500 yrds last year, relatively speaking both are low mileage RB's and play in a system that depends on RB production, I'd rework both contracts and keep on trucken a couple more seasons, add a draft pick, but I wouldn't count on him till he's proven himself prior to cutting either of the AJ's first, production is what ya pay for

AJ Dillon is a UFA next year so there is no contract to rework.

Agree - look what Jamall Williams did last game against us.
Also we will need the money if we going to be paying Love 40-50m per in 2 years time.

Here’s the deal about RBs…if they just run the ball…yes they are expendable
If they run the ball and pass block well, they set themselves apart and are a little harder to replace.
But if they run the ball, pass block, and they are a weapon in the pass game…then they have a lot of value.
Because at that point you aren’t paying a “running back”, you are paying a playmaker. And playmakers aren’t so easy to find.
Running backs that can be pass catchers and get YAC are not easily replaced

I agree to a point. If you need a rusher, no need to invest much, colleges churn out so many. But few are also well-versed in pass pro and as catchers.
It took Aaron Jones a year to become a decent blocker and two to become a receiving threat. AJ Dillon still makes a lot of mistakes as blocker.
I'd still hate to pay tippy-top RB money. With Aaron Jones, you'd essentially pay to have a larger playbook. With him, you have the option of flexing a RB wide.

As long as Aaron Jones is a great teammate and leader, and is a weapon in the pass game he is extremely valuable and hard to replace.
The packers job will be to determine when he is going to physically decline. He’s a small guy. He will lose value when he is less of a playmaker.
But while he has the physical skills he has, he is worth every Penny if actually used

I'd take Frazier over Barry and LaCoach in a fraction of a brain synapse transmission and reception. This ain't a head scratcher.

Sure they can. Jerick McKinnon is 30 and made less than 1M as a pass catching specialist. Anytime you pay a RB and draft one highly you are making a mistake. We did both.
