If we don't beat the Titans, then the narrative can be wrriten that we lost to phsyical teams in the Bucs, Vikes, Colts, Titans and took the Jaguars to the wire.
How do we define a "physical team?" The Bears aren't? The week 1 easy win against the Vikings doesn't count but the loss does? The Saints' D and running game isn't physical?
It feels like a narrative looking for evidence more than evidence leading to a narrative.
I mean, we struggle against the run on defense. That's true. We do not seem to struggle against a specific defense. We struggle on offense when Rodgers throws pick 6s or the wind makes throwing impossible, I guess. But the Tampa game is the only one where they didn't score at least 22 points. We scored 31 against the "physical" Colts' D.
The Bears were missing Hicks and that was obviously pretty big, but I agree with your point. To me, it seemed like they took a lesson from the TB game where their LB's were the heroes and used that to confuse the hell out of Chicago's guys. I expect if we meet Tampa again, it won't be as much our guy against your guy, because their two LB's are better than our guys in space.

As a Packers fan, the definition of physical team is, "any team that beats the Packers."
I didn't say I wrote the narrative. I said that is what the narrative will be. And you know that is what would happen.
The definition of "physical" will change depending on how we get beat.
If the defense clobbers our offense, it is because we don't have an Oline that can play physical ball and it's been so obvious for so many years and people will bring up how bad we are 3rd and short.
If the offense puts up more than 27 points, it is because the defense isn't physical enough to stop the run or get to the quarterback and how it's been so obvious for years that we don't have an ILB.
And obviously we will need to sprinkle in a "the world would be different if we drafted WRs."
That's the narrative. I don't write them. I just know that is what will happen.

The narrative I heard emerging after the Bucs game was similar-ish, but more along the lines of "if you punch them in the mouth, they fold," as a response to going straight down the field for two scores, 10-0, then back-to-back INTs put us down 14-10 and the game could have restarted from that point, but we wilted.
However, I haven't really seen other examples of that. Our other two losses were just miserable 3rd quarters where the offense doesn't score and the defense allows 2 TDs. Even yesterday, I dunno, a punt return TD to make it a 1-score game might be "getting punched in the mouth," and they responded with a 77-yard run and an INT.
Even if you count the Colts game as being punched in the 3rd quarter, they came back, got to the red zone, forced overtime....
So I sorta figured that narrative died.

Za'Darius is quietly 1/2 sack out of the league lead, he has 10 1/2.
Aaron Donald and TJ Watt both have 11.

It is always dead until we lose to allow it to re-appear

He looked pretty good yesterday (though his "sack" was being the closest guy to Hurts when he ran out of bounds for a 3-yard loss), but I dunno that anything that happens against the Eagles' OLine should count in official stats

Said narrative will die when we win the Súper bowl or dont lose to a team in the playoffs that runs it down our throats all game bc they know we can’t stop it. We make that gameplan fail for a team and we shed that narrative. Simple.

I mean, if the narrative is just that the way to beat the Packers is by running it and keeping it away from Rodgers, that's just true.
But that's been the truth for two years now and only like 5 teams have executed it enough to win: 49ers twice, Vikings once (in 4 tries), the Colts for a half, and the Bucs, and the Eagles (once in two tries)
If there's an area of the game to be weak and survive, it's run defense because you can neutralize it with a good offense and a lot of points.
But yeah, it'd be nice if that were better; but that's who we are this year.

2 playoff losses before loss to SF in 2019:
Cardinals had 40 yards rushing in the 2015 playoffs.
Falcons had 101 yards rushing on 30 carries in the 2016 playoffs. 392 yards passing.

You mean we weren't Super Bowl caliber with Ladarius Gunter covering Julio Jones and Letroy Guion playing guard?

Nope, not so much. At least we proved not to be a soft team since they did not run it down our throats all game!

I was looking at that earlier today. We have some folks with top stats.
There are only 11 players with more INTs than Darnell Savage. And he has only caught athletic ones, no gimmes.
Adams the only one with 100+ yards per game and tied at 1st at TDs.
Aaron Jones, top tier stats with limited snaps.
Tonyan is tied first for TDs for TEs. Also solidly in that large second tier of TEs at yards after the dominant Kelce. And he's not even a featured target. Massive value for your $.
Crosby 100% on field goals. I can live with three weird XP misses.
AR... Man. I don't even have to.
Then we have some guys without top stats playing well. Jaire. Clark looks to be improving. All of the Oline, whoda thunk Elg could just step into C and not miss a beat?
We have weaknesses. ILB, no FB, receiver depth. But I can't go all doom and gloom with so much excellence.

Adams also crossed the 1000 yard barrier for just the 2nd time.
