Rodgers says that the week after the season he was told "take as long as you want; we want you to retire a Packer."

Claims the whole vibe had changed when he came out of the darkness.

Before darkness Packer wanted him to retire a Packer and to take all the time he needed. Says that during the 5 days in darkness that changed and the packers were ready to move on.

And now we are on communication issues again.

Says he went into the darkness 90% retired, 10% playing. Spent a whole day thinking about each reality--retired or not retired--and got a clear message at that point that they were ready to move on, even though they'd said the right thing publicly.

Says there are no victims here, including himself. So that's nice.

He wishes they had been direct with him immediately after the season and told him it's time to move on

Do we believe Rodgers that the org basically lied to him? And that they werent forthcoming with their intentions?

Okay so 12 says Love was drafted as his replacement as some may have believed he was descending in 2019 as GB gets rid of players one year early, even though they made the NFCCG (sounds a little bitter), yet admits they got BTFO'd by SanFran that game.

Says also he went into the darkness thinking GB would accept having him come back, retire a Packers, but felt a shift after the darkness where they seemed to have moved on.

Appreciated the honesty of being told that it is time to move on, said that older players should be given this respect. No malice, no bitterness.

intends to play, play with the Jets. Only hold up is the Packers squeezing compensation!!

Rodgers isn't holding anything up. Packers compensation package and digging in their heels is holding it up.

I'm not too concerned; his vibe isn't that he's been wronged. Just that he prefers it had been handled differently. He seems fine. I'm not gonna worry about the back-and-forth.

Says the decision was made Friday that it's going to be the Jets. Rodgers is not holding up the deal; it's compensation now.

I don't believe for a second that in the 5 days he was in the darkness there was some monumental shift in the Packers messaging/plans.
