The purpose of this is the same as every other thread on this forum.

1. Bring up how WRs not being drafted since 2016 has cost us 4 SBs and it's not Rodgers fault.
2. Rashan Gary was a good player but bad pick riding the pine. Simmons woulda helped in 2020.
3. How could you expect the QB to play well with our offensive line.
4. Of course you can't use the middle of the field with our TEs
5. No veteran wants to do OTAs or take their players out for dinner. How could you expect Rodgers to. Stupid young wipper snappers
6. Those who want Rodgers gone are just spoiled fans who don't know what a good QB looks like
7. It's not the coaches fault with all the bad players we have.
8. The Packers have great players but the coaches need better schemes.
9. Packers fans hate their players and trash them...but did I mention how much our WRs and Oline suck.

Oh yeah. And some Aaron Rodgers news for what might in 2023...yada yada.

I think I summed it up?

No purpose was to discuss if Rodgers would return, retire or be traded.

Those other things all stem from the originating purpose.

BF004 was the first real split comment which was "we are better off without him". That is going to lead to an opposing argument because it is wrong and then all the other things GPG stated flow on like a web.

Do people really only read what they want to read?

Honestly don’t even know how to interact, let alone debate, with some of you people half the time.

And the post immediately liked by DrJ and yoop. Such a weird ass place sometimes.

hahaha sorry that is funny.

But doesn't change my point fundamentally. It wasn't you but it would've been either the pro Rodgers team or the anti Rodgers team saying an initial comment and then guns blazing.

that was sarcasm, what GPG left out was the personal attacks, your brother in a polite way rebuked Half Empty.

threads often become side tracked, GPG listed every thing he didn't like that was said in the thread, as though any thread about Rodgers has a ice cube chance in hell of not veering of track.
It's just discussion, if someone doesn't like the discussion, start a different topic, go to a different thread, whatever, but to sit here and complain about me or others for broadening the conversation about where or what will happen with Rodgers was bound to happen, the personal attacks need to end.

yoop.

You dish out more personal attacks than anyone here. You essentially get into a name calling fight with every poster on this forum at least 5 times per week.

If you want the personal attacks to stop, then start looking at the mirror.

actually I was being sarcastic, what actually is your problem? a thread concerning the future of Rodgers is bound to draw comments and responses pro and con about him, it's obvious this forum is split over this, no one hijacked this thread, it became a back and forth because posters voiced complaints about him and I and others defended him, just maybe if your group wasn't belittling him in every comment about him you wouldn't have gotten back lash.

you take everything I say as a personal attack, quit being so thin skinned, a generic comment like ALOT becomes everyone in the forum, when we all know it's simply a figure of speech for as little as 3 or 4, you ( not just you) purposely twist what I say so to start a argument, then I become the bad guy and accused of derailing the thread.

you blasted this thread for not staying on track when your just as much at fault for derailing it, and here you are turning it back on me again.

You sarcastically liked a post?

Everything else you wrote has nothing to do with BF's post. Like usual...people here are far too quick to respond rather than just listen (read).

The only reason I am continuing this conversation is to point out how people are just so desperate for a "gotcha" moment rather than actually listening, reading and talking. There is clearly a lack of actual reading of responses here. And it's a big reason why things escalate so quickly.

you listed 9 things I mentioned, all valid issues, why Rodgers struggled and now your going to sit here and say it wasn't personal, that post was directly aimed at me, as was your comment asking me why I was still here in this forum in the PM.

what the f is a gotcha moment, seriously this is a back and forth comment forum, and your trying to turn it into the blue light special at K Mart where a flashing light signals the start or stop of something, you better get ready to deal with this for all of next year, or maybe we should turn the light off all together.

quit your whining, and quit attacking me because I wont succumb to your brow beating and agree with you.

the personal attacks need to end.
It starts with you Yoop as the requester. As go pak go mentioned, you are by far the biggest offender in this area. That along with unnecessarily escalating conversations. It's pretty disingenuous to say the personal attacks need to stop if you are unwilling to do so yourself.
you take everything I say as a personal attack, quit being so thin skinned
Maybe you need to examine how you address others and your hostile nature towards them. I know I need to do that more.

Here are perfect examples of that:
actually I was being sarcastic, what actually is your problem?
This is very post after you stated the personal attacks need to end. It was in response to a post that simply said: "yes."
what the f is a gotcha moment
Really little reason to escalate the conversation like that.
quit your whining
Again with taking the conversation hostile and this just mere minutes after stating personal attacks need to end. These are personal attacks and you are right, they do need to end. I will work toward that, if you will.
you listed 9 things I mentioned, all valid issues, why Rodgers struggled and now your going to sit here and say it wasn't personal, that post was directly aimed at me,
This is a common older Gen. X and Boomer fault as it concerns social media. They read and have an internal assumption that everything is directed at them as if it is a semi-private conversation between the poster and themselves. This falls in line with exactly what go pak go is talking about when you says, "actually listening, reading and talking." Take a second and think about what was typed. Try to determine what is actually being said in the post. At times I can fall victim to this as well and have caught myself at other times taking a post for something it didn't mean. That is why I ask questions. It isn't an insult or anything like that. It is trying to determine what is being said.

If we all work together to not be so hostile toward one another it would do wonders to the conversation.

but it actually included every topic I was a part of, of course it was directed at me.

why would you, GPG or any of you expect a guy my age to decipher some of the comments you guys make, some require re reading 2 or 3 times and even then have double meanings, dispense with the grad school lingo and speak plain English

and why would anyone go hog wild concerning the amount "ALOT" means, we all know more then just a couple didn't want to resign Jones, and well over that amount didn't want to unless there qualifiers for doing so where met.

yet you forced me to defend that generic statement till the cows where done milking.

sarcasm is a two way street, GPG ripped on me for comments and post I was a part of in this thread, I wanted to know why
and why would I not hold a grudge, for a decade you've attacked near every post I made, to add that your also guilty is a under statement, and as expected here you are blaming me, you clean up your act and I'll do the same.

Also, you don't need to bring up your pet topics or previous discussions into every other thread. Let it go.
