The messenger is Mayo. His words. Kirk posted a video. This isn't hard.

The DEI hire's first priority is DEI. Good for all the other teams, especially in that division.
You are an idiot if you think Robert Kraft hired a black man to satisfy DEI, instead of because he thinks Mayo can help his team win.

Also kind of racist to assume a black man was hired just because of DEI.
His #1 qualification was he was familiar (to Kraft). #2 qualification was his race. His resume does not come even close to warranting a head coaching job based on merit. Then in his first chance to be the face of the team he essentially just posted a big "Whites are racist therefore White players need not apply" sign outside of his office. LIS, good for the rest of the division and league who wants to win.
I don't hear any such thing as you describe when I listen to him. Where does he say "whites are racist, therefore white players need not apply?" All he intimates is that people need to see color in order to deal with racism.

Everyone expected Jerod Mayo to succeed Belichick as HC; they have been grooming him for the role for years. As far back as his playing days at Tennessee and through his pro career, Mayo has been lauded for his football IQ and leadership.

He will be a great coach for their defense. He needs a good QB and OC to have any success.

What are the qualifications for someone to "merit" a head coach position in the NFL? And where are those qualifications in writing by the League?

And you totally misunderstood what he said about race.

Hit the nail on the head.

He watched a small snippet of video, read the headline from a known political maneuverer, and jumped to the very conclusion the author intended like leading a horse to water.

Is there something I missed? I didn't see or hear him say anything implying "whites are racist and need not apply." If he did say that or make a sign that said that, it'd be messed up, but I haven't seen that.

Kraft specifically said he hired Mayo because he thought he was best man for the job.

Drafts old and wants to win post belichik-Brady. What he’s being accused of is silly,

The NFL All-Rookie Team was announced. No Packers made the cut for that list, either.

All the better...

Ya know it’s funny. I listened to a podcast where the hosts were coming up with their own all rookie team, and no packers made the list, but despite having a great looking class, I couldn’t disagree with them on any picks.

The packers got a ton of guys who are already positive contributors and have the look of emerging stars. But across the league there seems to be someone putting up high-quality starter production as a rookie at every position.

It’s Jayden Reed awesome? Yeah, but Nacua broke records, and Addison and Rice out produced him

Are the rookie TEs emerging monsters? Yeah, but San LaPorta broke records and is already producing as a top TE in the league

Love what we got from Karl Brooks, but fellow mid-round interior DL rusher Koby Turner got 9 sacks!

Everywhere e put out an immediately good player who looks to grow into something better, there’s an immediate something better in the league. It was just an astonishing rookie class in tens of immediate impact across the league this year.

The Rams, Lions, Texans, and Packers seem to be the cream of the crop in overall rookie hauls. And just like it did with the chiefs last year, it propelled them all into the playoffs

What went wrong is the internet killed print media. And what's the point of the swimsuit issue when there are terabytes (petabytes?) of free, uh, naughty images?

spot on, my local paper charges almost as much for internet, as they do for delivered paper, a friend with a inside source says the owner wants to stop delivered papers, cheaper for them, I expect as you say profits have dwindled competing with internet media, to bad really, maybe they'll restart online only :idn:

RGIII and Jay Gruden trade barbs online:
https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/ja ... 0733&ei=13
It started when Gruden posted, “If I ever put a QB through what Philly is putting Jalen through , I apologize. Pick up a blitz,” criticizing how the Eagles were pass protecting for Jalen Hurts throughout the game.

That led to Griffin posting a picture of himself and writing, “Say WHATTTT???” Pretty clearly, Griffin felt that he was among those quarterbacks who were owed an apology.

Gruden wasn’t interested in taking that lying down, though. He fired back at his former quarterback, accusing him of not being prepared. He wrote, “U weren’t prepared Robert ?”

Of course, in this back and forth, Griffin got another shot in, wondering if it was actually Gruden who wasn’t prepared for their time together. “You told me you didn’t know how to coach a QB who could throw and run like me, so looks like you weren’t prepared Jay,” Griffin shot back.
They are still going at it with each other:

Naughty images were online, for free, in the 90s. For a very long time the swimsuit issue's profits supported the rest of the magazine. Then SI put fat women in the issue. Then SI put a dude and Martha Stewart on the cover in recent tears. The men that supported the swimsuit issue, which supported the magazine in general, stopped supporting the swimsuit issue when SI put fat women, chicks with d***s, and senior citizens in it/on the cover instead of Kate Upton and similar.

Yeah. There was Internet but the Internet was pretty aracaic until even the late 2000's. Speed. Photo and video quality, etc. were all pretty bad until 2007 and beyond.

And that coincidentally is also when you started to see the slow decline and mergers/acquisitions of hundreds of published media companies.
