When facing Spagnola, there isn't much choice in the matter.
There's always a choice. Guessing against Spagnola would seem to be the wrong choice since he is known for being unpredictable. Play to tendencies, absolutely.

Also, I don't buy the explanation that the RG should have waited as long to pass off his big. Spags will make Olines look like fools though.
That's exactly what the Bills did, though. They played to tendency. You keyed in on the term "guessing" in your response but they did exactly as you suggest.

Spags called a play outside of tendency and the Bills got burned.

I get that, what I am saying is don't sell out toward those tendencies so that you are vulnerable if that doesn't play out.
