At our rate we'd be lucky to even finish 4th in the division.
You know how it is when you lose multiple games to end a season. The next season is already doomed. I mean just look at the 2023 into 2024 Eagles and Commanders...oh wait.

We have the #1 pick in 2026 locked in, so there is that to look forward to!
There is some anxiety going in to 2025. Too bad LVN and Gary weren't dominating in 2024. I don't think LaFleur is overpaid. Our offensive line is far from elite.APB wrote: ↑25 Jan 2025 10:25You mean the same risk as every other previous year?RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑25 Jan 2025 09:57The Packers are at risk of finishing 4th in the 2025 NFC North standings.
I see you’re starting your hand wringing a little early this year…
2 years into the league and 2 completely different schemes. Way too soon to say. For as much as I’m called a negative fan I never called for Davante to be cut. I was maybe the only one saying it was too soon to cut Amari Rodgers too. Gotta give players more than 2 years. Now if year 3 comes and goes and he’s still doing nothing for this team then it’s fair to say he’s a bum.
I still think slot 13 or 15 should produce starter ability by the end of rookie season, and neither Gary or LVN were able to show or do that, other teams get those results, we are drafting edge rushers in late rounds that produce more as rookies or 2nd year players, Gary took till his 4th year, then produced 40 pressures and single digit sacks and we paid him top 10 money, now it's back to 20 pressures and less single digit sacks, and LVN looks even worse, personally I believe the move to bigger edge rushers was a mistake, there mostly bull rushers, and lack cod skills, LVN is so laterally challenged, it's why I would bulk him up and move him insidelupedafiasco wrote: ↑25 Jan 2025 22:252 years into the league and 2 completely different schemes. That said no excuse to not take Christian Gonzalez there. Idk why you wouldn’t take a top 10 talent and can’t miss CB talent.
As are the other three teams.RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑25 Jan 2025 09:57The Packers are at risk of finishing 4th in the 2025 NFC North standings.
Let's hope that's the case.
Please god no.
If a coach is part of a successful team, then leaves and is bad (not, mind you, mediocre, on historically bad teams... which could actually be viewed as an achievement... but in fact BAD) then the success they had is more of an anomaly in the big scheme of things than indicative of their coaching ability. He was WR coach when Davante broke into being a star, was QB coach and pass game coordinator during Aaron's last two MVP years.
just maybe he isn't ready to be a offensive coordinator at this level, or never will be, we had an explosive passing attack with Getsy as receivers coach and passing game coordinator, and that was with one great receiver, who got even better under his watch, along with a bunch of 3rd or 4th tier receivers that also saw there ceiling with him, we groomed up Getsy, just as we now have with Mahaffey who was OL assistant the last year Getsy was here the 2nd time, Getsy left for a season when we fired McCarthy, we had a year of Mahaffey in 2024 as a receiver coach, and he showed us nothing, keep Vrabel, add both Getsy and Slowick, both know the ropes and are very qualified, we hired Clements because we lost Getsy, doubt it had to do with competence concerning coaching up QB's, LOve has a propensity for returning to bad technique when he can't find open receivers, fix the receivers and you fix LOVE, jmo.Labrev wrote: ↑26 Jan 2025 09:36If a coach is part of a successful team, then leaves and is bad (not, mind you, mediocre, on historically bad teams... which could actually be viewed as an achievement... but in fact BAD) then the success they had is more of an anomaly in the big scheme of things than indicative of their coaching ability.
Getsy, much like Hackett, rode Matt and Aaron's coattails but has been garbage since.
I know less about Hackett or Slowick, but I seem to recall talk of Getsy being considered in line to be our OC under Lafleur, minus the position of play caller which he new wouldn't happen under Lafleur, so he left according to this hoping to gain more experience while a opening for that job would present itself in the future, sure enough it did a year later, and went to the Bears to do, and this article points that out, his failure with the Bears may have had more to do with Fields, poor OL and WR's then Getsy?????
The trouble is that is still a 100% improvement.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑27 Jan 2025 15:56That’s wild to me that they extend Bisaccia for leading a really underachieving STs unit this year. Had snaps, bad kickers, bad coverages, poor return decisions. Best thing he did was scheme up a block against the Bears that prevented from going defeated in the division.
They still rated as PFF's worst ST unit.Cdragon wrote: ↑27 Jan 2025 21:23The trouble is that is still a 100% improvement.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑27 Jan 2025 15:56That’s wild to me that they extend Bisaccia for leading a really underachieving STs unit this year.
