Yep, really sad to hear this but he was extemely sick for a long time. Glad he is in peace now and hope we win it all for him.

I was a TT truther, was called a bootlicker for supporting him, was laughed at, and I have proof! (From Journal Sentinel)

Saw this on an article.
I'm not sure if the ghosts of Lambeau needed a GM, but they just got one.

Upon being inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 2019, Ted Thompson said: “I’m not one of those people. I’m just a scout.”

I will say TTs press conferences were hilarious and I’m not sure it was intentional. His answers were so to the point and innocent.

Man, somehow I see TT sitting on the edge of a cloud saying in his deadpan delivery "nice view to scout 'em all".

TT was the master of boring off-seasons and exciting seasons. The peak teams he built were something else. I didn't know passing game could work like THAT. Wonder how many air miles he gathered traveling to scout everywhere in person.

Did not care what anyone outside said (which was great at the time when Fire TT webpages were popular, and those supporting him were called TTards), put his all into building the best team in his power. Deserved another ring, methinks. Let's go get it now.

He had some great successes and like everyone some failures. But every decision was, what he thought was best for the Green Bay Packers. It made me laugh when guys were saying he is doing things for his ego. I'm not sure he had one. :) :lombardi:

In today's Covid world I'm hoping this is not a big distraction for the team since there is a certain amount of insulation between everyone.

The Packers didn't put press conferences on youtube before really 2015. I wanted to put together a mantage of Ted Thompson which I think was best from 2007 to 2013.

That moment when he talks about Ted not being married, no kids. He truly bled this organization.

Damn. RIP TT. Too young. I know everyone talks about his health problems, but what were they? I thought he was supposedly cleared of anything major last year.

Thompson was a GM who personally went to watch virtually unknown seniors scrimmage in the mud and rain; many times it was just him, no other NFL representation around.

He was a scout's scout. A football man 100%.

Rip to the White Wizard, it's been a rough year and some change for people important to our team.
