I think Paulson Adebo is becoming my favorite prospect for us this year. At first I thought he was a mid round 3 guy. Now I think he may be much higher than that.

If memory serves, he was considered someone who might come off the board in the 25 to 40 range had he come out last year, then sat out the year, and now is sort of out of sight, out of mind... but yeah, should still be a pretty good player. Nice to see his testing.
You are correct. He did sit the year out and for that reason I was seeing him at a lot in the mid 3 round area.

His 2019 tape is good. He has a lot more athleticism, twitch and loose hips than I would expect for a corner of his size. He seems to play pretty smart too.

His knock was his hands but apparently he showed fantastic hands at his pro day. This is the type of developmental corner I want. He may not be ready to start right away because he hasn't played football since 2019 and is a rookie, but he is a Stanford kid so likely smart and he is super athletic with pretty good tape.

Adebo was considered by quite a few draft guys as a top 3 CB prior to COVID. I find him to be a safer guy player than Farley. I think he’s a 1st round pick. Definitely like him more than Newsome who I’ve seen higher often. I guess looking at it now I’d probably have to put Adebo 2nd behind Surtain for my rankings.

So can we just add height + vertical to get an 'effective size'?

Does that work?

Wonder what the draft status implications of this will be for a likely top 10 pick.

I still think hes probably a top 10 pick. He didnt need to do anything at his pro day to help him. Teams see 6'3 fast with terrific ball skills. I would take him at 29 but I do not see him as a top 16 pick. Very one year wonder like to me and I thought prior to his good year his play was very sloppy.

It is tough though with Surtain, Horn, Adebo, and Melifonwu absolutely crushing their Pro Days within the past 36 or so hours... plus Fairley's red flags were already massive injury history.

So when you've got Surtain at 6'2" Horn and Adebo at 6'1", all running in the 4.4s or faster, not to mention Melifonwu a touch later killing the workout all around.... it's tough to rely on traits and a year of good film for a guy with that injury history when there are traits all over--not to mention guys with more work needed like Tyson Campbell and Robert Rochell who also have length and lights out pro days but sloppier film.

It feels tough to gamble on Fairley's traits and health when there are so many options in the 20-60 range with similar length and speed and traits.

This year's draft is going to be wild. I think the top 100 players and where they are actually valued and drafted is going to be absolutely crazy.

Ambry Thomas always seems to be my favorite 2nd CB we take in this draft. I like him as a Day 3 guy. He seems to look the part to me but just has virtually no playing time.

That's what is so hard about this year. Just such little tape on a lot of guys.

Well I couldn't find it, so I made it.

I've gone through Jim Nagy's twitter and PFF's Pro Day Tracker, filled in a couple holes with NFL DraftScout, and made a running Google Sheet of the Pro Day results

Enjoy.

I think we should call each player before we select, just to make sure he is still alive.

How come I can't change the filter? It only shows OT.

Oh that's annoying. Do I have to grant full edit capability to change the filters? (I'm looking at OTs at the moment)

Did Dazz Newsome just nominate himself to not be drafted today?

He was on my Day 3 radar. Not any longer.

Yeah I was a little surprised... he seemed like a fun return/gadget guy but his lack of explosion and speed is a double whammy.

This is one of those interesting conference/competition things. Watching ACC games I would have guessed each of these guys were about 0.10 faster than they ran today, but aside from Newsome, those change-of-direction numbers down there were legit.

Does anyone have a preliminary Packer draft board they'd be willing to share? My knowledge of the draft this year is practically nil. I'd like to get familiarized a bit without digging into everyone and trying to figure out who is likely on the Packers radar. Just don't have the time or energy to bother this year.
