9 straight after that dodgers sweep.
Lookin' really good with the 3 young guys consistently performing. Freddie and Wilson are off the chain lately. Joey needs to sit down. Santana's been a good acquisition.

Brandon Woodruff! He may be the only reason I have hope for this team in the playoffs. Complete game shutout!

That's the thing with this Brewer team. Between Woodruff, Burnes, and Peralta they've got a reasonably good shot to win each game they start. If the bats get just marginally hot at the right time, they can go places.

And you only need 3 for the playoffs really.

Heading to Miller Park tomorrow. Yes, it will always be Miller Park.

Should have never changed it from County Stadium. And screw Miller. They've all but left Milwaukee, they don't get to be associated with the Brewers anymore.

The Crew seem to be hitting their stride. Right time of year for it. Hopefully it carries into the post-season.

Cubs tanking their way into a tie with Miami now for the 6 seed and looks like Miami will own the tiebreaker.
Looking like the Brewers will be hosting either, 10/3-10/5 for a 3 game series, winner going to the Dodgers (no reseeding) for a 5 game series.
Be awesome to win that first series in 2 to keep our starting pitchers fresher.

I'll be happy if it's just this...

Didn't do it with a win, but division champs! Did any talking head pick the Brewers?

Brewers end their season series against St. Louis by shutting them out.
Garrett Mitchell also made his return and contributed nicely. He can add some pop to the offense come post-season.
As much as I despise the Cardinals for being the nemesis of so many Brewer seasons, you gotta admire the franchise for the consistency and competitiveness they show year in and year out. This stat below just blows me away:
St. Louis lost its 90th game for the first time since going 70-92 in 1990. In addition to that 1990 season, the Cardinals are assured of finishing in last place for only the second time since 1918.

First time since 1990 the Yankees, Red Sox, and Cardinals will all miss the playoffs. Love to see it!

Hmmm? Just lost Game 1 to the DBacks. And hearing rumblings about Craig Counsell going to NY. This is not good.

News that Woodruff is hurt and can’t play, Burnes has his shortest outing of the year, Williams gives up 2, leave 11 on base when we get to their bull pen in the 3rd.
All very depressing.
Still haven’t announced Peralta as the pitcher tonight, but it’s gotta be him right? He was probably on a Thursday schedule though.
