It’s not clear to most of us that Ja was criticizing Barry, so the idea that he was suspended for that is speculative at best.
Yeah, he just criticized the defensive play calls. Not the play caller directly. Toootallyy different.

Don’t we owe him like 24million next year? This isn’t a problem that’s going away folks.

That said, a guy goes rogue and you gotta suspend him. I just wish it came from Lafleur.
24 mil to keep him. 27 mil not to.

I like Jaire a lot. I hope he decides to stop being a douche.

Well, i must be in the minority then, because when I read that Jaire said, in response to a question about why he was not assigned to cover Viking WR Justin Jefferson during game 1 of the 2022 season, “Why I wasn’t on him, that’s not my call. Anybody watch me play, you know that’s what I want.”[/i] and "we just gotta play the call that’s called" after Sunday's game in response to a question about the defense's performance against Carolina, I thought it was pretty clear he was criticizing Defensive Coordinator Joe Barry.

But frees up a TON in ‘25-‘26.

You want elite players out there at important positions, and not many better than him. He needs to be bought in. If that can be accomplished by a different DB coach, or DC, then you look strongly at that. If a new HC is needed, got a bit of a pattern going here, that should probably be looked at too.

But if you can’t get him 100% back in, then gute has proven really really good at getting maximum value for players who aren’t going to playing here regardless in the next year.

Who was disgruntled that he got max value for?

He doesn't care, which is why he'll likely be gone. and guys that give a &%$@, don't act that way without some sort of remorse when they realize they're acting like an ass.

and I never met a player at any level that didn't think their coaches were wrong on things a good majority of the time. They did their jobs anyway. IMO, Jaire has taken this year off
Anyone who has played at the highest level in a sport (college or pro) certainly has at least one story of disagreements between a player and coach. There are mature/professional ways to handle the situation and there are improper ways to handle the situation. :thwap: Sorry JA, you screwed up here. This no way a leader, like yourself, should behave. Grow a pair, admit you were wrong to the coaches and players, and you will be forgiven and you will be a better man for it.

Good news for Jaire is he’s a good player so his leash is gonna be very long. A mid tier players locker would have been cleared out Monday morning.

He wasn't suspended for the coin toss. He was suspended for criticizing Barry. Coin toss is just a convenient excuse.

Because of this regime, Green Bay is getting a rep as a place no player wants to be, just like the 70s and 80s.
According to the official statement, your speculation is not accurate.

Who was disgruntled that he got max value for?
Adams and Rodgers???

Didn’t think it was that hard to figure out.

You wanna nit pick between disgruntled and not welcome back or whatever else, you go ahead and knock yourself out. Never even said disgruntled. Clearly wasn’t the premise of my post.

Lafleur is taking an incredible amount of heat for a year we knew would be down. I agree with this take tho.

Wow didn’t expect you to get triggered over a serious legit question.

Adams was the top receiver in the game, I think that haul was fair and good, but getting anything less for him
Would have been malpractice.

Rodgers…we basically gotta 2 for him.

Don’t really see either trade as max value, just good fair deals.

Asked because I was wondering if I missed anyone.

Did not mean to upset you.

Seems like we have silos again. Both under Murphys watch. The offense and defense all year has seemed like they’re on two separate teams. Douglas yelling at them all TC. Jaire criticizing them relentlessly wary in the year. Players going against their coaches. A lot of speaking out.

Surely there’s a disconnect between what Gutenbumst is trying to build and the scheme LaFleur/Barry want to run.
