Toes were both in, with control. Why do the heels matter?
because one completed the step out of bounds.
Toes are all that’s needed. That’s why it’s a weird rule

When you are belly down, a toe drag is all you need. Upright, heels count.

Because the heels are part of the feet. If I have it correct, the “feet” must be inbounds. We are used to looking only at the toes because most of the time a receiver is dragging his toes near the sideline.

Completing the “process” of the catch?

;-)

Sign of good playcalling with the two deep shots for penalties. Even without Watson, keeps the D honest. When you get pure 1-1 outside with outside release, that's so tough on the DB.

Had only his toes touched, it’d have been a good catch. He allowed the heels to touch too, though, so it becomes part of the catch and an incomplete pass.

These kids are making some of these plays look easy. Didn’t seem like anything special

This team doesn’t even know they are good, yet. This is going to be a fun season.

That’s where I have to think that the scheme or playcall helps our guys get more open. Too often, our guys are 3-5 yards or more apart from defenders. They are getting VERY open.

Yep, LS still seems to be a bigger issue than it should be for any NFL team.

Reed is a veritable TD machine!

DB blew it big tho, but even if he hadn't it was a nice route combo to clear the flat.
