The Lions remaining schedule is a problem for them aside from da bears plus they were hit with more defensive injuries. Minnesota has a legit chance to take the division and we ain’t heard no fat lady yet.

Thanks for the playoff spot.
I came into this world KICKING and screaming, naked, and covered in blood that wasn't mine.
I am prepared to go out the same way if I need to.

There were a couple in the third quarter, I believe. I will have to go back and find them. An underthrow across the middle on a rollout, deep throw into double coverage. Need to make those plays if you want to win Super Bowls.
Cowboy up.

Yep 100%, the throw he missed to Doubs over the middle as he was rolling to his right needs to be made. There was no deep throw into double coverage.
His misses tonight should not be cause to lose faith in Love. Personally, I like that he takes deep shots to guys that are 1 on 1 even though they might not be 100% open. It's one thing I missed over the years. With a DB trying to play catch up that's a good decision. Now, Love does have to continue to work on his footwork to be better with those throws. No more off the back foot!
Perfection is not necessary to win the Super Bowl. No QB has been perfect in a Super Bowl win.

Always appreciate when you choose to engage in a more candid way, so thank you for that. I can respect that opinion, as the 1v1 deep shots were something that I missed during the Rodgers years. It did look to me like the deep ball was double coverage, but I’m willing to review it again. Perfection is not necessary, per se, but with the rule changes in recent years, you have to be near perfect if you want to outduel a guy like Mahomes, whom we’d have a good chance of facing if we made the Super Bowl (asssuming he can recover from injury). Even Jalen Hurts was near perfect in the Super Bowl and his team still lost. Bottom line, the plays that need to be made have to be made. That’s how Brady made himself. 23, I believe in this team. That is why I am hard on them. It pains me to see good teams leave opportunities on the table. All we have to do is clean up a bit of the slop that tears it ugly head once in awhile, and we are the most dangerous team in the league.Pckfn23 wrote: ↑15 Dec 2024 23:32Yep 100%, the throw he missed to Doubs over the middle as he was rolling to his right needs to be made. 7 incompletions on the night. Here are the ones I remember:
Last play Watson 1 on 1 down the sidelines
Reed slip on the out on 3rd down
Watson not seeing the ball on the drag on 3rd down
Love missing Doubs over the middle rolling to his right
What were the other 3?

Mahomes was 21 for 27, 182 and 3 TDs in the Super Bowl. He missed a few.Papa John wrote: ↑15 Dec 2024 23:47Always appreciate when you choose to engage in a more candid way, so thank you for that. Hurts was 27 for 38, 304 and 1 TD in the Super Bowl. He missed a few.
Neither of those 2 were closer to perfection compared to Love tonight.
Mahomes offense hasn't scored 30+ all season long. Mahomes is the 18th rated QB so far this year.
Jordan Love absolutely must continue to improve. Since getting healthy he has been doing that every week.
Every single team, almost every single week leaves opportunities on the table. It's easy to be overly critical because it's easy to see those missed opportunities, but also easy to miss that it happens to other teams too.
Unless a team wins something like 56-0 scoring a TD on every drive, there will be missed opportunities. Obviously we would like to see more consistency with the team, but the other team does get paid to play too. Seattle is a pretty good team. We doubled them up and then some.
Trust Love.

I’m very concerned with the version of Spider-Man you’ve been watching. Hope it was incognito mode.APB wrote: ↑15 Dec 2024 23:00Yeah, and if you could spit web out your ass you’d be Spider-Man.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑15 Dec 2024 22:23If Seattle could locate any ball tonight down the field Love would have been picked quite a bit. He got away with quite a few.
Neither happened so what’s the point?

The first quarter was among the more satisfying quarters of football I’ve watched this year.
The first half was among the more satisfying halves of football I’ve watched this year.
The close out TD to Doubs was phenomenal.
The end result/final score was among the more satisfying end results/final scores I’ve watched this year.
What a lovely Sunday night.

The score got a little closer there for a bit than I'd have liked. Overall I thought we dominated the whole game but we are definitely a a team subject to hills and valleys. It's like once a ball gets rolling one way, we ride it till it stops and go the other. We're on the extremes it seems, but I suppose you could say that about any team you watch.
When we're rolling, we're rolling and when we're not, we're not. Muffed punts, missed passes, penalties etc, or we're just driving in chunks. Same on defense. We seem to shut it down and swarm, or it's a 40 yard gain LOL.
Watson seems to routinely have 2-3 yards of separation, it's crazy. Run game was running early. Tightened up later but Jacobs is a damn beast. Receivers really hung on to the ball. Instead of WTF drops this week it was a bunch of nice catches. It makes a difference, obviously. Watson had some good ones. Doubs' last TD was fantastic.
On defense Engebare had a nice night, or maybe it was just 3 plays al right in a row that seemed so good LOL. It was great to see Cooper back on the field. He moves so well, man he's fun to watch. Strong, fast, quick twitch, smooth etc, just seems to have all the tools. Was disappointing to see Walker go down though after stringing together some nice games. I really want to see those 2 on the field together
All in all, good game, though I didn't like when it got to 10 pts and playin in that place I never trust anything, but with the back up QB and how we were playing the outcome wasn't really in doubt. Good win

Solid team win. Dominate first half. Disappointed in clock management again. Wasting time and leaving pts on the field isn't fun. Better than MM who would give time to the opponent and pay with 7. Lost focus in the second half after the fumble, turned it around quickly though. Disappointed in running Jacobs into a brick wall when other options were there.
Mistakes aside it was still a major beat down. Mistakes are fine as long as they don't cost you the game. Going over mistakes should make you better. Keep you sharp. Remind you, you are not perfect and have to continually get better to compete with the best. The 2011 team suffered from too many victory Mondays.
Overall penalties are down. Defense, Offense and STs were killers! A solid beatdown of a lesser playoff quality team in their backyard. Who's next?!

would like to see a 60 minute performance, we came out in 2nd half on auto pilot, poor play and play calling, allowed them to get back in the game, and then closed it out with better play calling and play in the 4th, the first half we dominated, the Seahawks couldn't get anything to work against our defense, and Cooper is our most deceptive pass rusher, gets into that backfield so quick, and knows how to finish, our defense seems to improve each game.
I think people forget that the other team has players too. That forced fumble on Josh Jacobs was a fantastic defensive play if that doesn’t happen, we most likely score that drive and at worst go up 26-6. I saw a click bait headline on the Press Gazette about these performances costing us in the playoffs. What a load of bull. If we lose in the playoffs, it’ll be because the other team is better, which is a real possibility considering there are 3 teams in the NFC with better records than us right now. It’s a very top heavy league this year and we’re one of the best. Should be a fun postseason.

I just wanna say that I REALLY want to leapfrog the Vikings in the standings. I'd much rather play the AFC South winner than the AFC West winner on the road--both for football reasons and for travel reasons.

Remembering this is still the youngest team in the NFL. As this team matures (and gets healthier (Jaire, Musgrave, etc)) the rate at which the Packers move into the ELITE category status will explode into a fury of GO PACK GO endlessly into the night. The booming GO PACK GO's last night on national TV in Seattle was impressive and emotional. Now that the prissiness has subsided, this is just the beginning of the next Camelot.

Yeah, that punch out was perfect by them. Jacobs did pull it in close to body, even turned his shoulder into contact moving the ball underneath him protecting it even more. Just an excellent punch on the ball.Acrobat wrote: ↑16 Dec 2024 07:05I think people forget that the other team has players too.
