I don't think you can accurately say this...
He did have 170 total yards against SF. We had 263 total on the day.
This is the best comeback to my post on this page. I do regret using the word "laying an egg" because it comes across that Jones is the reason for the loss rather than my intention of Jones had a play available but didn't make it. Whereas Gary unequivocally did. Add that to Gary is an ascending player and becoming a pure leader on the defense...I have Gary ahead of Jones here.
Words matter and I used a poor word choice. And to common forum theme, the small word choice led to an incredible tangent regarding STs rather than the discussion between Jones and Gary.
I should have seen it coming. I mean Lupe's well written thread got pigeon holed to Dean Lowry for 3 pages. So I should have been more careful in my post.

Yup. And you called me out on it and I admitted my language was dramatic. Honestly I thought it was pretty good back and forth discussion until it got derailed with the STs talk.
