Waaaay to early to call Watson a bust…but also totally true this draft class had tons of impact receivers…and Gutey sat on his hands and drafted two defenders in the first round.
Kind of hilarious if you think about it considering our need at receiver.
Watson looks like a heck of an athlete, I’ve seen no evidence he’s a heck of a football player. But he’s got plenty of time to change my mind on that.
another preference from Guty to improve defense over offense, and the excuse as always, the best receivers, the ones we liked, where out of our reach.
heres a quick look at rookie receiver success so far
Olave is ranked #12 over all receivers with 389 yrds
# 32 Wilson 282
# 39 London 266
# 44 Pickens 250
# 45 our Cobby 245 it's shameful really to have who is considered to be the best QB in the league, and our best receiver ranks 45 in the league.
#57 Pierce 222
# 59 Doubs 213 yards with catch to targets of 22 of 29, Rodgers should get a kick in the shorts for not targeting him a lot more.
# 63 Lazard 209 yards
this after 5 games into season, Watsons knee scoping kept him from needed PS games, and now Hammy issues have hampered his on field status, hopefully he provides more as the season progresses.
Well, if Rodgers made better throws and better decisions, our WRs would be ranked higher.
Seems to me AR should focus on moving the sticks. He seems to always be looking for something to develop deeper. But if he would just take more of those mid range throws the deeper stuff would also open up. I was at the Chicago game. There were throws he could have made but held onto the ball for one reason or another.
AR has said for 3 weeks we need to throw more to Watson and Doubs, get them more involved, Doubs has 22 catches on 29 targets for 213 yrds, if the mid level stuff is open, then I agree, I think Doubs deserves more then 5 or 6 targeted throws per game.
Rodgers has made some nice passes, but he also has missed players badly, obviously some of that is lack of chemistry with receivers, but some are just wild throws and thats on him

Rodgers is hitting a lot of difficult passes. The windows he’s throwing to are very small. Let’s face it, Lazard and cobb aren’t burning by their defenders.
Where rodgers is missing the mark is his deep balls have been trash for the most part. This is either all timing with his guys or his arm is rusty.
The two deep balls he threw that were dimes were dropped, sadly. That would be to the two rookies.

Tipa out and Gary questionable.
Might see LaDarius Hamilton, or hopefully my man Kobe Jones get the call up this week.
Wonder how we could get by with a 3-3 nickel.
Quay and Campbell
Preston Kenny Reed Dean/Wyatt
Might sacrifice a bit of pass rush. But that should be solid against the run. Maybe an early down front if Gary needs some snaps off.

Christian Watson needs to seriously bulk up and work on his conditioning. He is very soft so far in his very short career. Not calling him a bust. I do believe he was a massive reach and the wrong pick over Pickens but he needs to improve his availability.

If Gary’s toe gives him a problem and the Packers D plays man to man, I see Zach Wilson scrambling for quite a few first downs.

I don't think we need to worry about playing man.

Yeah. I have to admit the Giants game really took it out of my sails too.
These next two need to be won. Get to 5-2. Get aggressive and then maybe we have some excitement going into Buffalo.
honestly our season is November though.

thanks Bogey, a sight a fan never tires of seeing
I think we'll see some changes on both sides of the ball for the good, tighter coverage and more focus on running the ball.

Only call-up was Winfree. I'm assuming this is good news for Gary.

Did I see Tipa on IR? Might have added someone to the 53 and haven’t seen it yet?

Kind of liking all the chatter this week from O and D, where they are, what they need to do.
I think we dominate from the word go.
Give me 31-13
D with 3 picks, Jones and Dillon both over 80 on the ground d, Doubs gets two TDs.

I think it might be a week or two early, but might just be leaving that spot open for Kylin Hill.

I don’t see any reason for keeping PT

Forgot they actually signed him to the roster. Must be for OBJ then.

I would like to see us actually get up to the ball and run the play. Everybody is always trying to limit our possessions, but we are the biggest cause. Let's stop helping teams do what they want. Run the hurry up and get 80 plays in instead of 60 something.
