By the rules, I can see why they called it an incomplete pass. As a football fan, I effin hate it. Every damn rule in the book favors the offense and especially the QB. Now I don't think it was a "fumble" either in the fact MN knocked it out. Starfford saw his man right there as he was getting taken down, he knew right were to give just a little nudge and let the ball go. But not too much, he's being taken down, don't want it flipping up in the air right there. Had to make sure it went pretty much right to the ground.

But in the spririt of the game, he was toast, and I don't think being able to do what he did belongs in the game. It may not have been a fumble, but it certainly wasn't a real pass either. It was a cheap attempt to avoid a sack. Smart within the rules, but a detriment to the game if you ask me.

Much like the mugging of Bo Melton at the end of our last game was a penalty, I'd much rather they completely rid the game of those under thrown &%$@ ball ball penalties that reward a poor offensive play with huge gains. Earn your yards. That's what football is about. It sucks to see all sorts of other teams get rewarded at that point and then in a huge moment you don't, but the football fan inside of me was pretty happy there was no flag.

Can't hit a QB high, or low, or too early, or too hard. Gott a be sure he still has the ball, though he can flip it out like that and you bring him down hard they'll still call you for a penalty. Can't horse collar, can't hip drop, can't grab them around the waist and pick them up, can't drag them down from the wrong position either. Pretty soon, just run along side of them until you can get in front of them to try and tackle.

It was this play that I knew we would lose. You don't get call like that and recover from what was a tight game up until that point. Now, I'm not saying the refs rigged the game. The Vikes o-line was like a sieve for the 2nd week in a row. I turned off the game at halftime because i knew how it would end.
