I don't think we had to really on him. I think he took it.

Billy Turner also out of practice with a knee injury, no details;

injury bug hitting our weakest starting positions at a bad time.

I was bummed when Kamal Martin was out because I was excited that we have a hot young rookie who needs snaps and looks to be a steal for us.

I am now concerned because the Replacement 1 (Raven Greene) and Replacement 2 (Oren Burks) are also not practicing.

But that is more of a multiple injuries at a position rather than relying on a single player.

With Raven Greene, Oren Burks, and now Martin out. Yes I am a bit concerned. That doesn't mean I believe we were relying on Martin.

Best thing that could happen to the team. I think they are unawares that Turner stinks.

Let me go on the record and say -- at risk of eating crow later -- that I am still a Burks skeptic. I have also been a Jackson skeptic but I could see him turning it around and am 50/50 on it. Burks, though? Nope, not getting fooled by the positive offseason reviews for one for 1 second.

I am the same. I could see Jackson finding a very valuable niche, just can’t see it for Burks.

I don't think the offseason reviews of Burks have been all that positive. Is it progress from last year? Absolutely.

But it was pretty evident he was backup to Martin and honestly fighting for the backup role with Summers.

But right now....we just need a body. Period.

So much talent. I loved him in that Draft, but man, that is some bad injury history.

I would be very interested in Sanu.

Vet with familiarity in the offense.

However, short of it winning us the super bowl, which is incredibly doubtful. Looking like a very good decision to not get Sanders, Sanu or Robbie Anderson.

How old is he? He’s never had a major injury, has he? At least not in the past several years. Just deteriorated skills?

31. His game was all strength and muscle. Guys like that don’t last because they didn’t have the speed to begin with. Now he’s omega-slow.
