Between the bad hands and never figuring out the back shoulder throws, I don't think MVS is anything more than a one trick dog.
It's a pretty good trick if you're gonna have one though

Losing this game...
... excuse to fire Pettine!

Well MVS is who we thought he was.
Sucky ending but we didn’t deserve to win that game.

I mean this game is a microcosism of this team after the bye.
Terrible on 3rd down and too many turnovers.

4 turnovers, 2 key 3 & outs, and a missed 4th down conversion in the red zone. That's the whole game for us.
For them, if they had lost, it's 2 turnovers and 9 holding calls or whatever.
Our errors outdid theirs. And that's the whole story.

MVS needs to go. He's been given more than enough time now.

Honestly could see it. There was always that rumour that Lafleur wanted to bring in his own guy for D, instead we stuck with Pettine - which was right at the time.
But, I've seen enough of Pettine.

Honestly I'm not even mad.
I've resigned myself to what this team is.

This team has a lot of bone heads on it. Too many to be a contender.
Really wonder why play maker Aaron Jones wasn’t on the field after his catch until the overtime.

One turnover too many...
Lotsa people are gonna be very down on this team after this, but overcoming three too-easy turnovers isn't a mark of a terrible team. Scoring 31 points vs the Colts' D isn't terrible. The fourth turnover was just too much.
D must've been spent in the 4th quarter, yet forced the holding bonanza. Didn't give up.
Another decisive loss for the STs. I hate bleeding yards there.

Yeah, an awful lot of stupid mistakes by players and coaches.

the offense did enough to win this game, our defense isn't able to get off the field, week after week we give up 3rd and long, 3rd and short, and we suck on 1str and 2nd down too.
feel bad for Scantling, however it's the same with some of the other players, it's great that they usually play well, it's the plays that they don't that are killing us.

Me too. If we get past the first round of the playoffs I'll be pleasantly surprised.

You can't blame the offence for the second half. If you tell any defence that their job is to go out for virtually the entire second half to defend againt Indianpolis and the offense's only role will be to give you 2 minutes turn-round time while they trot on and trot off the field, then any defence would struggle to hold a 14 point lead. (Especially as on one occasion the offense didn't even trot on and trot off. The punt teams saved them the bother.)

I turned if off after the Colts got that 3rd down conversion against Jaire.
Oh ye of little faith....
It is back on now.
A friend of mine did the same thing in 2004 or whatever, and the Cards scored 3 TDs in like 3 minutes against the Vikings, and the Packers made the playoffs...
Was delighted to buy Nate Poole and his wife a drink at Fuzzy's the following weekend. Fun times!

I think "bonehead play of the season" goes to whoever decided to throw to him on 3rd and 4 in the first drive of the second half. It was crucial that we got a first down because the defence had just faced a 7 minute drive and needed rest. So try a back shoulder throw to the one man who has consistently not been on the same page as Rodgers? We have at least 5 more reliable receivers than him, so put them on the field. Speed wasn't the prime need for that play, reliability was.
