Sounds like a good way to lose our KR due to injury

If he's not getting injured on kick returns - arguably the most dangerous plays of the game with players running headlong into each other at full speed - what makes you think Nixon running a few plays on offense will create some additional significant risk to his health?

additional plays = additional risk
i would limit his risk as much as possible so he can do what hes needed to do.
Watson, Dillon, Jones should be able to hit a hole just fine.

Worth repeating, only with emphasis:

I guess I just don't understand the reasoning here. Maybe the Packers should also run a bus schedule to pick up every player on Sunday mornings to avoid traffic accidents, too...?
Sidelining your most dynamic players during competitive games because you're afraid of injury risk will only lead to defeat by other means. Sidelining them on the lesser risk plays makes even less sense.

Injury risk conversations about deployment are always so weird to me.
Like you probably shouldn’t risk your best passing QB on a run play. Why keep your staring OL in the game for every snap?
I get it to a degree with starters playing on special teams because those are literally higher risk injury plays, statistically. But even those complaints have always irked me.
Players play a risky game every snap. Some players play 60% of snaps and some 100% of snaps and you almost never hear people discuss the marginal injury risk of those differences.
It’s just such an empty concern.

I'd rather see Nixon develop on the defensive side, but I could see us using him as a sweep specialist/decoy on some designated plays.
If there's a way for Nixon to help on O or D, do it. Bubblewrapping him except for returns reeks of fear.

I think Nixon's development on the defensive side would be aided by sitting in the offensive meetings and vice versa. Playing slot corner and slot WR seems like a winning plan for a vet of his experience. Packers like a more stout slot - and there's some dirty work involved ala Lazard- but if Nixon has the mentality, he can be an asset as the season rolls along. Nixon will be active every game, finding creative ways to use him seems like good strategy

Yeah, off topic, but I'm trying to enter/win a contest the tourism department is putting out where ten lucky winners get an all-expenses paid trip for a "masterclass in happiness." You have to make a video showing you're a Finn at heart. Feel free to DM me for tips

Two weeks ago you were excited about our WR group and used that excitement as an argument of why we should bring back Aaron Rodgers.
What changed your tune on our 2023 WR group?

Sooo, is there some player that was
actually available to us this offseason we should have signed, or are you just going to sit here and bitch about WRs while (as usual) not taking real life circumstances into account?
I mean we could have brought back Allen Lazard to put more money into the position, which is about the best we could have done with FA options because he was one of the top guys at his position available on the market, yet somehow I doubt you would not still be kvetching about our Wydra SEEE-BERRRRRS.
By the way, this team literally offered to pay Adams MORE than the team that is #4 highest on the list.

Yoop, this is 2023 numbers. It's a season that hasn't happened yet for you to bitch about (yet.)

From 2009 through 2022, only 1 team won more regular-season games than the Packers.

I put a laugher emoticon in and repeated old sayings and comments I've said to boot, but there is no joking around in this forum any more, everyone acts like I stool there last condom
the reason we are only paying 5 mil for receivers is because we havn't drafted anyone in years that we liked enough to give them a 2nd contract, duh, ya don't need to be a brain surgeon to figure that out

come on, I'am sure you can get there, do this, repeat this 25 times quickly, Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Rodgers, ......
We have had one of the best QB's in the league for over a decade, along with some other talent other teams have not had, or do you think it was a result of something else?
