The obsession some, including reporters, have with Dillon's legs is a bit creepy.
It's also, like, look... I get that you're seeing him in person, but did you even look him up when we drafted him? He looked like this at the scouting combine and at BC, as well. "250-pound man has big strong legs" is, like, good for a tweet, not 2 days' worth of conversation and press conference questions to the head coach.
Yes he is - and its a damn shame we don't get to see him in preseason action this summer.
Here's video highlights from last year, dude can spin a ball
And it sounds like he really took a leap forward on knowing the MLF offense going into 2020. In his presser he said this is the 1st time since high school that he's been in the same offense 2 years in a row.
Because the talent gap from them to the next option is huge. Burks just needs to stay healthy and get some momentum going. Adams just needs to pull his head out of his own ass.
Feel like we are told that for both them and every offseason team darling and it never holds.
I'm sorta with BF on this one, except that I'll wait for a week or so with padded practices before I need to see evidence of competition there.
I guess the idea is put the highest ceiling/most athletic guys who need technique work and awareness development in there, and try your best to develop 'em. If that fails, you can put in a Lancaster or a limited ILB who will plug the run, but will never develop into something more.

Exactly.

I just want to desperately see a season of Raven Greene and see what we actually have in him.

Yeah, I was very excited for him last year. Really like the Vernon Scott pick too. Seems like we have a big role for that type always, but never really seem to invest anything in it. Whether it just be throwing out guys like Greene, Campbell, Will Redmond, Eddie Pleasant, surprised we've never actually gone out and targeted someone for it. I know it's only a 7th round pick, but interesting to see we finally draft someone for that mold.
Don't get why we keep doing that with guys like Burks and Adams every TC. No idea how you can have Adams ahead of Lancaster at this point.
Many times, they just want to put these guys on film so they can tell if the things they were assigned to work during the offseason have improved...or will improve over the course of TC. That's why they put them in vs starters early on to see their hand placement, play recognition, first steps etc. Putting him ahead of Lancaster just means they want a comparison from last season->August 17th -> end of TC.
IF he doesn't show a rising trajectory, they may move on.
Interesting take, not sure if I had heard that before, but it makes sense.

That's fine. I'm not high on Adams, but I will remain the lone Burks supporter around here until I see him fail, healthy.

I post this because I find it mesmorizing, not because I think it has much intrinsic and substantive value
