Whenever someone doesn’t just give Kincaid to GB, he always falls till like 21-26.
Such a lazy default pick by ‘analysts’
I won’t love the Kincaid pick, but would depend how we use him and what kind of production we could get from him.
I don't know much about his specific situation, but I'm just nervous about the long term prospects of anyone with a back injury. I think that's why I've shied away and preferred the other TEs.

I think there’s a 0% chance we take Kincaid at 13. I think we brought in so many TEs for visits is because we are gonna just take whichever one falls in round 2.
I think we take the best edge that falls in round 1, we move up for Hyatt in round 2 and take whichever TE drops in round 2.
It's like you're reading my picks in the draft competition thread...
...well, except I went Paris Johnson in R1, not edge.

I submitted a question to the Journey to the Draft podcast.
Listened to Greg Cosell and Dane Brugler respond to my sentiment that Marvin Mims is better than Jalin Hyatt (while similar players) and that Yasir Abdullah is better than Nate Herbig (while similarish players).
Dane had Hyatt as WR3 and Mims as WR 9 and Herbig as LB 5 and Abdullah as LB10.
Both statements led to decent conversations about how similar those players are and how fair it is to assume one is better than the other among draft experts. Brugler actually struggled to answer the Abdullah and Herbig thing a little bit. Honestly a really cool experience.
Then the host (who also crushes film and is great) Fran Duffy took on my final statement that Kincaid is a big WR and not a TE; he said I was underselling Kincaid's blocking a little. Wish I could respond that WRs block, too. But oh well, win some, lose some.
Anyway, highly recommend the podcast. And further, if you leave a review/comment/question on their apple page, Duffy always answers it. You can then change your review for a new question. This episode was a special one where the guests (Brugler and Cosell) also respond to the user comments, so I made sure to get some picks in.
haha, again some draft gurus rate Kincaid as a better blocker then Laporta, and is actually a willing blocker, just hasn't done it much.
Yoho I doubt we even have a chance to draft Kincaid, guys with catch skills that he has, along with his size are in demand, I half expect him to go top 10, we'll see.
for us I think its going to be a edge or OL, or even a trade back to get another pick or two.

Starts at 7pm CST, 10 minutes per pick in round 1. So if we stick at 13, maybe 9ish? All depends how long teams are on the clock and how much time they waste with hugs, pictures, and other fluff.

I love or like most of those mocks.
Watch us not do any of them

I saw an NFL mock where Drew Sanders went Top 10 to the Falcons (I think they pick 9th?) and that made me wonder who this year's absolute left-field pick is going to be e.g. Clelin Ferrel at 4, Tyson Alualu in like the Top 10 or whatever it was, Cole Strange last year.
But I can't wait for the absolute idiotic pick, like Commandos take Marte Mapu at 17 or something.
No wait, I've got it: Titans draft Hyatt at 11. They may try to trade down to make it more palatable, but if they can't, he's their guy.
College 'ball is bigger than the NFL in the south, go get the exciting hometown playmaking receiver to gin up enthusiasm for the pro team.
They need a WR even though they drafted one last year. People mock JSN to them but TEN needs an explosive playmaker, not an underneath guy. This is the team that made Corey Davis the #5 overall pick in 2017, but also the team that hit a homerun when they bet on small-school speedster Chris Johnson in the first-round.

Will Anderson's agent did a helluva job countering the "Anderson may not be the first edge defender" narrative by getting him on TV on every network. Human interest features everywhere this week. More than any other player I've seen by far this year. They did not take falling draft stock rumors lying down.
Does it make any difference? No clue. But it at least builds a fan base.

I don’t really get the Lukas Van Ness thought logic cause we took Gary. I mean I do, both maybe somewhat raw, still in progress good athletes with upside, similar ish size.
But Gary is twice the athlete, had much more production, actually started, on a much more prestigious program on a much better team and actually started.
I don’t think Van Ness is in the same tier as Gary as a prospect, probably 2 down. Be like saying we should take Calijah Kancey because Barry had Aaron Donald and he was good.

I think I'm hoping to see a trade up for Carter, Anderson, or Wilson today. 13 and 78, maybe a toss in a couple of 6's or 7's to get to 8.
Don't really particularly love the two edges, I do Carter, but I think where we might get best value given our circumstances.
Carter, Wyatt and Clark could be awesome together. 3 real bigs all with (hopefully) very real pass rush ability. Been our desire since like 2018 to cut down Kenny's snaps a little. All 3 could eventually get to 60-70% of defensive snaps, which should roughly be any DL's ideal ceiling, IMO.

I'm fine for Carter; can't get there for either edge. They're just not that special; the gap between them and the next guy is so minimal. Like how much better is Tyree than Murphy (for big guys). How much better is Anderson than BJ Ojulari or Felix Ineedtolearnhislastname? Not a second round pick better, certainly. Probably not a 3rd round pick better either, but I know we light our 3rd round picks on fire anyway.

Ok, I was wondering what time it started. It looks like I'll have to wait until 10 EDT for our pick.
Of course the first couple of teams may not use all of their allotted 10 minutes per. This is better than in years past when I had to wait until almost midnight...

Then we won't take him.
The only time recently when the prognosticators predicted who would take did we actually draft their consensus pick (Ha Ha in 2014).

Probably gonna need to find a weed gummy and take a walk while listening to NFL podcasts or something.
