2024 Dynasty League

Cheesy topics (like the Cheese Curds thread) go here. Topics that aren't Packer related will be moved here as well.

Mmmm.... cheese.

2024 Dynasty League

Post by BF004 »

Congrats carp

:hail: :hail: :hail:

Me, carp and Nick squared away all the final ‘22 and ‘23 finances and everyone is paid up through ‘23.

Anyone wanna volunteer to gather up the draft order?

Anyone got any rules changes we wanna look at?

Anyone thinking of dropping out, sooner the better.

Thanks BF!! It has been a great year in this league for me - I hope everyone else is having fun. I think making it 12 years is impressive, and I also think our parity and level of involvement can keep us going for a long time.

The rule change I would suggest is just to change the draft order basis to optimum points for (Optimum PF on the Leaders tab if you use Fleaflicker on desktop) rather than record for teams not making the playoffs. This removes any incentive not to play your best lineups every week, and reflects roster strength in a better way than record. It usually works out the same, and our league doesn't suffer from terrible tanking woes, but it removes tanking from being in the thought process. The only way to truly tank with optimum PF is to get rid of high scoring players off your roster, which is a strategy if you're playing for the future, but comes at an obvious cost. I guess we'd have to implement for the 2025 draft.

We could also discuss using FAB for waivers, which I would support. I can make the case for it if anyone is interested, but it's just all about making waivers more intentional and possibly more equitable.

Definitely some waiver discussion had during the year.

Whatever it is, let’s figure it out.

Could we also look at making the trade deadline later, or eliminating it?

You didn’t need to do that, should be $20 to me for ‘24.

How’s your team impacted??

Kirk - to Atlanta, talented receiving core, probably about a push. I do have both Nick Mullens and Jaren Hall

Gabe Davis - 13m per. Got a little more than MVS and Lazard money, hopefully he outproduces them.

Tajae Spears - that Pollard signing really sucks

Myles Sanders - $150 million spent on guards, shouldn’t hurt.

TJ Hockenson- likely huge downgrade at QB

Jerry Jeudy - to Cleveland, can’t hurt

Packers D/ST - McKinney should help

Gardner Minshew - should have an opportunity to start, but went to a worse situation than he had in Indy.
Ty Chandler - so far slated as a lead back in Minnesota, but they'll draft or buy him company back there.
D'Andre Swift - comes into a crowded but winnable backfield situation in Chicago, might be able to run the ball with goal to go now.
Burrow - keeps Higgins, for now...
Bijan - gets better at coach and quarterback so far, should help his opportunities...
Marvin Mims - loses Jeudy in front of him, but still unclear whether he'll be a man in the Denver offense.

So far, so good.

Well that didn't take long. Ty will get all the AJ hammy games.

Free agency can be such a fantasy equalizer. Glad I held on to Zach Moss.

Seems like a lot more shuffling of the deck this year than most, but maybe I'm just remembering through a Packer fan lens. We always watched this time period from the sidelines...

I’m hoping it’s more Chase Brown than Zach Moss getting that free agency equalizing opportunity. But we shall see.

I’m also hopeful about the Drew Lock situation in New York with such a short leash in front of him
