Rank the Roster 2024: #20

Rank The Roster: 2024 Edition

2. Rashan Gary (36%)[+3]
3. Jaire Alexander (48%)[-2]

18. Keisean Nixon (25%)[-1]
19. Tucker Kraft (21%)[+12]
20. Current (xx%)[--]

Percent of vote the winner got will be in parenthesis, position change vs. 2023 will be in brackets.

Here's how this works:

Each day there is a new thread/poll, starting at #1, on down to whereever we get. The whole point of this exercise is to have something to talk about in the lean news months to carry us to camp. Each poll will be open for voting for 24 hours. New threads will only be created on weekdays. Ties will cause a runoff poll. You may vote up to TWO players (a change that was made mid-poll last year, seemed to work well).

Simply voting is not enough!

Post why you voted for who you did and provide a player to add to the next poll (every poll will be a list of 15-20 guys, new players added in bunches every few days).

Here's the thing. There is no criteria. This is an exercise to foster discussion therefore there are no clear criteria for ranking. Who is better right now? Who will have the best season? Who was better last year? Sort of a combo of them all? Do you take positional value into account? It really doesn't matter.

I'm sticking with Stokes over Valentine as our #2 CB.

Y'all convinced me last round to go Walker over Morgan this time. Though we are getting close - Randall in 2015 at #24 is the latest the first rookie has ever come off the board.

LT1 is Walker's job to lose. Nothing is given to you at the pro level, not even 1st Round picks.

Having said that, OL6 often sees the field a lot. We will probably see plenty of Jordan Morgan this year even if he's not a starter. I wouldn't rank him too far behind Walker.

Stokes getting a lot of media love with his recovery from his latest injury setbacks. I am firmly in the believe-it-when-I-see-it mode with him. Both injury-wise and quality of play.

Valentine and Walker for me, once again.

Walker and Bullard again. Not sure why they aren’t getting more attention. They are in line to play 100% of defensive snaps if healthy with very little competition.
Cancelled by the forum elites.

folks are acting like Walker is Mark Tausher for goodness sakes, no knock on Rasheed, but if he was all that why did Gute use his first round pick on LT with possibly the highest floor in the whole draft class? that just doesn't make sense to me.

Morgan again, and until he gets voted in. :thwap:

LB Gary ranked #2 lacks justification.

If he were on this team, Tauscher would probably be in the top 10. I think 20 feels about right for Walker:

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/399 ... kle-future
Walker allowed a team-high eight sacks yet still had the best pass block win rate (95.8) among offensive linemen who played at least 450 snaps last season, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Upon closer inspection of Walker's eight sacks, some could be based on circumstance. For example, according to ESPN metrics, Love had the eighth-highest average time to sack last season (4.88 seconds) and the seventh-highest time in the pocket (2.56 seconds), all while having just a 35% completion rate outside the pocket, which was last among qualified quarterbacks.

Walker's run block win rate of 74.1% ranked 37th out of 70 qualified tackles. He also had a team-high six accepted penalties, including four false starts. He started and played in every snap of both playoff games, and Love was not sacked in either one.
