Can't believe Clete Blakeman is the referee for a championship game. Bills-Chiefs will take 5 hours to play with him calling holding on every freaking play. How do they freaking rate these guys?

I wanna see Buffalo absolutely embarrass the Chiefs this wknd and then go on to win their first SB. They are an organization long overdue in quality teams/zero SBs.

No question New England and Kansas City are dominant teams and dynasties. But I also don' think they're fundamentally that much more dominant than other top teams in their era. They just have a lot of balls and calls bounce their way over the years.

Actually I was looking at the Chiefs like Lombardi's last SB team. Winning on muscle memory. Not as strong as previous champions. And I don't want them to 3-peat.

Seeing a scrappy underdog outplay a super team--then watching them get kneecapped with very subjective penalties at key moments--just makes it all feel like professional wrestling after a while.

The Chiefs get way too many calls go their way. I'd even argue they get those calls at some of the most critical points of games and the call often directly impacts the outcome...largely in favor of the Chiefs.

So in essence, you are saying that resiliency is a mythical concept and that luck is what's really important. That is complete hogwash. There is a reason why every single successful coach takes pride in his team's resiliency. Invariably, it is one of the first things mentioned when any coach hoists the Lombardi.

I am saying this moreso in reference to New England. Sure, they had the ball bounce their way a fair number of times. But they also had to overcome plenty of unfortunate circumstances! The no-hold call during the Tyree catch. The Manningham catch. Even the Seahawks had them on the ropes with a deadly completion late in the 4th quarter of that Super Bowl. But the difference between you and me is that you probably believe that the Malcolm Butler INT was complete luck and that they just "had the ball bounce their way." Yes, they were lucky that Seattle made such a bone headed play call. But I'd argue that it is more important that they were prepared and savvy enough to take advantage of that luck.

You don't win 6 championships in 19 years because of luck. That entire Patriots organization- from Kraft all the way down to the janitor deflating the footballs- was very rich in leadership. They had smart players and coaches. And they had one of the most competitive-minded HC-QB duos of all time. There is no other team of that entire era that maintained a winning culture the way that they did. It should be no surprise that they won as many Super Bowls as they did.

50% less penalties than there opponents, your right, some look obviously to affect scoring outcomes, looks rigged, hurts the brand.

and finally the league is taking notice on Mahomes and other QB's turning the slide into a automatic penalty if ya treat them like the RB they became, it's become a unfair advantage, instant replay on it was a good move.

I want the Skins to win this but it just looks like the Eagles have too much firepower for them to overcome. Build a team around JD and Washington is going to be a problem.
