From Lambeau to Lombardi, Holmgren, McCarthy and LaFleur and from Starr to Favre, Rodgers and now Jordan Love we’re talking Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football. This Packers Forum is the place to talk NFL football and everything Packers. So, pull up a keyboard, make yourself at home and let’s talk some Packers football.
DT Anthony Rush
Anthony Rush is an enormous nose tackle, who possesses a massive and thick frame at 6-foot-5 and 338 pounds.
Rush is quick off the snap and comes off the ball low to out-leverage blockers. He has two-gap potential and can probably be moved around the defensive line based on the scheme. He is strong enough to simply drive blockers into the pocket to disrupt plays. Rush is one of the better players I’ve seen in this class at taking on and splitting double teams to stop the run.
Through his senior season, Rush has amassed 72 tackles (41 solo), 18.5 tackles for loss and one sack.
Tony Pauline, pre-draft:
Rush is massive (6'5/350) and as you might guess from a player of his size, he's able to take up space and prevent guards from getting to the next level. What you might not expect from someone of that build is that Rush is also able to beat lineman with quickness, as Pauline mentions. "I presently grade Rush as a sixth round prospect and he’s a name to remember heading towards next April’s draft," Pauline summarizes. We're intrigued.
Another solid move by Gutey trying to improve the team. Like in the Austin thread Gutey should have anticipated the run defense would be a problem after last season but better late than never.
wow, this is his 6th team in 2 years, he just hasn't flashed enough to demand a roster spot yet, hopefully that happens here, he is athletic for a big guy, and we can sure use that girth.
Honestly: with his size he'll be a factor against the run no matter what. I lov it, even more than the Austin signing. I could see one of them turning out decent.

I have no issue with signing either one. Yes, they aren't gonna cost us much and if either one or both contribute it is a win-win for us.
