2020 NFL Draft predictions

Post by paco »

anyone have any bold (or otherwise) predictions for the draft this year?

Packers draft 3 OL
Packers draft no more than 2 WR
Packers do not draft an off the ball LB or WR in the 1st round.
Packers will not draft a QB higher than round 3.
At least 1 crazy thing will happen in this draft related to technology or the running of the draft and cause controversy.
Goodell's basement will !@#$ me off.
I will not get any of the Packers draft picks correct in the contest.

1st round will break viewership records, despite it being a much lousier show. :cigar:

We'll analyze around 30 prospects in the "All the draft prospect game tape you'll ever need" -thread, and the Packers won't pick any of them. :kaboom:

If we get to some of the Round 1-2 OT's, I will say with a great deal of certainty that doesn't happen.

They dont draft a wr til 2nd or 3rd rd.but get 2 plug and play guys.
They draft 3 ilbs..none before rd 3.
They also get 2 dts.
Gutey throws his virtual ipad and tells pettine i got you your fn lbs..and 2 pluggers..now go clobber mostert!!

Gutey doesn’t take a prototypical slot receiver. He will get someone tall.

Gutey doesn’t take a ILB before round 4.

He trades up on day two.

We end up without a 1st round pick.

5 QBs go in the 1st round.
Cancelled by the forum elites.

I predict I will have never heard of any of our picks. As usual.

I guess I have to say I don't think we'll take a QB, simply because we're a popular dark horse pick to do so. I also don't think we'll go ILB #1 because it's a dire need and we never pick those. I'm sort of feeling WR.

2004 holds the record for 7 WR's in the first round.

Code: Select all

1 3 Larry Fitzgerald	Cardinals
1 7 Roy Williams Lions
1 9 Reggie Williams Jaguars
1 13	Lee Evans Bills
1 15	Michael Clayton Buccaneers
1 29	Michael Jenkins Falcons
1 31	Rashaun Woods 49ers

2020 will tie that with 7 WR's taken in the first round.

If we take another backup player at slot 30, I wont be as upset as I was when we took one with the 12 slot, all those question marks concerning Guty making a trade in the we hours was him peddling Gary for a player we can actually use :)

the tackle? I havn't even looked at OL, with others mentioning a few 4th round OL I thought I'd start there and work up, I have to think they brought in Wagner to play RT this year with hopefully a mid round pick to under study to take over next season, so OL hasn't been high priority.

if the projected 5 go before our pick, is the 6th worth our slot? I really hate taking the big guys at the end of the 1st, most OL, DL taken then need some coaching up, just like most 3 or 4th rounders do, I think it ends up being the better value to take the later.

Guty will trade up in the 1st round for a offensive skill player.

Guty will trade up in the third round for an offensive skill player.

Guty will also trade Preston Smith for an draft pick in the third round. (Yeah, I know. Not gonna happen. But I'm not wasting my time predicting things that really might happen!)

Guty will trade away one player for another player. A position of depth for us is, ummm, nowhere for now.

MLF will wear a bow tie to the draft room.
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!

There is no draft room this year. MLF and Gutey will be drafting from their basements, home offices, or family rooms.

Lions pass on a QB at #3.

(Did you know Matt Stafford is only freaking 32 years old?)

I never understood people talking about Lions taking a QB. They are ripe for a trade down with someone who does want one.
