Don’t really like where we are sitting looking at possible tiebreakers.

Would be nice if Tampa doesn’t win the division.
I actually love where we are at.

We will need to win 10 games minimum to get into the postseason. 9 wins or less won't do it as you stated, we don't have the tiebreakers. We lost too many conference games and lost to Washington. We gotta earn it to get into the postseason.

That is exactly what we need.

Crazy how one play yesterday puts us either in playoff contention or last place in the NFC.
9 wins got the Eagles in last year.

Last year the Lions were the cellar of the conference with 3 wins. The cellar this year already has 3 wins. I think this year a 9 win team will also get in. That would mean we have 2 losses to play with. I wouldn't want to rely on it, as we may lose some tie breakers, but just saying a 9 win will probably get in again this year.

I think 9 wins will get in as well. I just don't think a Packers 9 wins will get in due to the tiebreakers. It will be interesting to watch for sure. The NFC South is terrible which means other NFC teams will start piling up wins.

Are there any even around anymore? If there are, I suppose they were all tucked into bed with their Depends all synched up tight by the time this game ended.

Right now it's only a 9% chance (but let's be honest :| ). 9 does not equal 0(but let's be honest :| ) .

How the Packers lost to the Jets, Commanders and Lions is mind boggling.

Some people are like "we can still make the playoffs, then you just need luck and a hot streak, how can you give up??"

It's not simply that this team is struggling in some facets and losing games, it's that they are across-the-board terrible. We are not simply trying to mask a few weaknesses, the dysfunction is just rampant and can't be "figured out" within a month and a half.

On-paper there's no reason they couldn't compete with contenders (we just did last week), and multiple games have provided us with the formula, but we just can't get out of our own way.

If it really were an issue of trying to mask a few issues and understandable losses, then yeah, saying we should push ahead and fight for a playoff spot is correct. Under the present circumstances though, the only fix is an internal shake-up.

In terms of pure performance, we are bottom feeders right there with Houston or Carolina. We are not typical bottom feeders in the sense we don't lose because we are not equipped to win like those teams that just don't have the horses. We actually do, yet our on-field play is that putrid.

Besides, do you really want them to be in the playoffs?

It means we go 5-1 or 6-0 to end, so I would say yes.

of course we want to be in the PO's, how or why would any Packer fan not want to be in the PO's? oh I get ya, unless we can win the SB we should just tank the season, someone should have told that to the 2010 10-6 team that won a SB.

Everything is relative, of course. Personally, I'd rather they miss the PO entirely than end up as cannon fodder for whatever good teams emerge. In some of the previous years, I'd have preferred sitting one out rather than repeatedly bowing out early, and especially so at home. However, I don't have much of a problem understanding how you feel.

Take off the gold glasses, folks, the Packers are NOT going to the playoffs this season.

The question should be whether this team can go to the playoffs NEXT season, and if we end the season with an 9-8 record and miss the playoffs on tiebreakers, without knowing what we have in Love then next season is not going to be 10-7 but 2-15. Because that is all Rodgers will be able to deliver, because all the free agents will want out of the sinking ship just like Davonte did. They will take less money for a team with a future or a better climate or the big city lights instead of replacing the Lions at the bottom of he division for a decade. Unfortunately this seems to be what a lot of "fans" want. Stick with Rodgers, make no changes to the D scheme, make no changes to coaching and get a mid round draft pick instead of 4 or 5 slots higher. Yeah, right, this is the definition of a fan. Not.

Of course every fan should want to be in the playoffs. Everyone wants to be rich too. But selling the farm to make the playoffs this year when it is almost impossible is like someone inheriting Grandpa's $250,000 farm, selling it for $2500 and using the proceeds to buy Powerball tickets. Ain't gonna happen that way.

TheSkeptic no, most likely not, but that wasn't the question... The question is if we want them to.

I regrettably watched a Florio-Peter King clip on YouTube. They spent 20 minutes sticking a fork in the Packers but both ended up agreeing on the fact that no team in the NFC wants to see the Packers in the playoffs.

Why would any of the playoff teams be scared to see the packers in the playoffs?

We choke in the playoffs even when we have a good team.

I can't fathom being scared of the Packers in the playoffs. If you're playing us in the Wild Card, you're not that good anyway. If you're playing us in the Divisional round, it's 50/50. If you play us in the NFCCG, you're all but headed to the SuperBowl.

And that's when both Rodgers and the team more broadly are good, neither of which actually are this year lol.

there is no shame in losing as long as you are doing everything possible to win, sure it hurts to lose, specially so when it's caused by players making stupid mistakes, which has been the biggest reason we've lost PO games, we beat ourselves, two years ago 7 dropped passes, last year ST's blunders, etc. etc.

We ( you and me)where around when this team couldn't purchase a PO game with Jerry Jones money, let alone earn a trip to one, so ya, I'd be tickled pick to earn a PO loss this year, or any year, cause there always a outside chance we could win :beer2:
