No more fan-fiction, yoop, put your money where your mouth is. Prove to me that what you're saying is correct. Go bring the evidence here.

No "go ask someone with football IQ." No "go back and watch __." Your claim, your burden. You bring the video and show that what you say happened actually happened.
of what? the only fan fiction going on here is your radical opinions that we have to move on from this old burned out QB, who is bound to be injury prone from here on out, and that our only reason for a losing record last year was Rodgers had aged over night from a MVP QB to this dilapadated has been you want to make him out to be.

did I hurt your feelings? did I offend your 30 yr old childishness, I freaking did go through 25 years of thinking the next best QB was right around the corner, so excuse me for not thinking thats a sure thing, half the teams in the league or more are in cap hell, and there not &%$@ bricks like you and a few others here are, so I wont either, no offense meant sonny but your acting ridiculous, what do you think I'am your secretary

oh my, more then a first for this washed up bum, Labrev will be so happy, me too :rotf:

I could easily see a first this year and next, and possibly a 3rd to sweeten the deal.

It’s amazing how much there ISN’T to write about this now. But people will do anything to regurgitate it and spin it up.

Yeah, and the Jets have hired Rodgers' former coach as OC and Carr's former coach as passing game coordinator.

They're keeping their options open.

It's best for Green Bay if Carr goes to New Orleans (or somewhere off the radar at present like Washington) leaving both Vegas and the Jets to bid for Rodgers. So I'm rooting against Carr to the Jets

IF the Packers are truly letting Aaron 'Make the decision'. I would imagine it isn't a simple yes, no. It's probably a 2 year commitment, needed financial concessions from him, and what we can do to build the team this year, however that might look.

If you get the 2 year commitment, we can trade Jordan for whatever, make a push for a 2 year window, and go win a couple of super bowls.

NFC is wide open and it isn't all that difficult a route. I'm honestly expecting us to win the North regardless of QB next year. Do you really think Rodgers with the Raiders have a realistic chance next year with that team in that division in that conference? Honestly even the same with the Jets. Those are probably the two best divisions in football.

But if Rodgers can't agree to our building plans (probably comes with a no Mason, no Lazard, maybe a no Cobb or Lewis or Tonyan) and a 2 year commitment, then the Packers (hopefully) are willing to say we can't commit to you.

If I were a GM of a QB needy team I'd consider Carr before Rodgers mainly because of the age difference.

I would say the bold is the sticking point. I can't say anything up to this point has indicated he is willing to do that. I think that is the only way there is a true 2 year window.

You are probably correct. His best chance to have success is probably in GB. If GB isn't ready for Love Rodgers will have to make concessions and commit to 2 years if he wants to continue playing. The Raiders are a mess other than Adams and the Jets' OL is a sieve. SF doesn't have draft picks to offer anybody. Rumor is the Saints are going after Carr. I suspect Payton would rather have a younger Carr than a 40 year old Rodgers. I don't know if AR would want anything to do with the Commanders. Houston is another dumpster fire. :?

actually this is what I expect to happen, don't know about the financial part, but some have said that last years contract was mostly just inflated and was really a 1 year deal, if so, we'll see a new one again, maybe for less money, again my position is that this team is to close to being good enough to just say OH well, lets start again with a un proven QB.

look how long it's taken to put this defense together, same with offense, when people say dump the expensive contracts, start Love and rebuild it's as though they have blinders on concerning how difficult it is to do.

Rodgers knows which side of his bread the butter is on, yes other teams have there attractions, they also have there warts, imo he has to know GB is still his best option to compete for a SB

His best option by far is actually SanFran, but he seems to still hold a grudge from the 2005 draft, and is reportedly not interested for that reason.

every QB's best option is to play for SF, loaded with talent all over the team, but why would Shanahan want to move on from Purdy or Lance?

the reason he said he wont be playing for SF had nothing to do with 2005, yet you translate it that way so you can call him a idiot :thwap: sarcasm alert

He just doesn't want to get injured like all their other QBs do.

I think he does want to go there but the Packers refuse to send him. They’d win the SB for sure because they’ve built a competent team.

The 9ers don't have a 2023 1st or 2nd round pick. I don't think they could offer us anything that we would accept simply from a value standpoint. It would have to be like the 2024 1st and 2nd plus 2025 1st.

And I don't see the 49ers doing that. They wouldn't have a draft pick for like 3 years.

every QB's best option is to play for SF, loaded with talent all over the team, but why would Shanahan want to move on from Purdy or Lance?

Purdy sustained a serious throwing-arm injury in the AFCCG. He may not quite be ready to start the season, and even when he gets back, he may need time before he's back in the swing of things.

So that just leaves Lance did not look good in early action, and he can't exactly do much to work on his game with a broken shin or whatever it was, for a team that was 1 game away from the SB. Lance is rumored to be on the trade block.

If they are delusional enough to think the Choke Artist will get them there, they are not gonna pass it up over a small-school QB that has truly shown nothing to date. Our team, OTOH, was not 1 game away. We needed to beat three or four awful teams just to sniff the playoffs (then lost to the worst D in the league, thanks in large part to his play in the second half).

the reason he said he wont be playing for SF had nothing to do with 2005
And you know this how, exactly?

I feel like you just pathologically insist the opposite of whatever I say, regardless of its truth. If I say he wears #12 you will say "NO! He wears number 999" and that I am saying "12" just to make him seem lesser than his true number.

I don't see the Packers being willing to trade Rodgers to any NFC team much less SF.

SF already has 2 good young starting QB's. Why would they want to pay big bucks to retard their development?

This is, what, the second or third offseason that this narrative is trotted out, and while it may very well have some truth, Rodgers has talked a LOT about his decision-making process. And he has never, that I recall, a single time, mentioned the best path to championships. It just doesn't strike me as the decision he is making. He wants to win and compete, certainly. But when he says "I have nothing left to prove," he strikes me as the type who means it.
