Packers Kicker/Punter/LS got younger by about 18 years with the moves this year. And that's with Orzech being 4 years older than Coco.

Aparently there are only 3 players over 30 on the team as of now.

And they gotta go full speed through the Gauntlet of Hell - whether its a return or a touchback.kampmanfan4life wrote: ↑28 Aug 2023 14:28I just caught myself watching the gunners. What a tough thankless job.
Brutal way to make a living in the NFL- and it hints at why the defensive players are typically better STs than the offensive players

Mosqueda is just balling on even the littlest thing now. He must have TIME on his hands. Lol. I’ve never seen highlights of ball placement by the holder. Ever.
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!
Since Bisaccia arrived, we seem to be getting more looks into the details of ST playScott4Pack wrote: ↑28 Aug 2023 17:23I’ve never seen highlights of ball placement by the holder. Ever.
The thing I noticed was how robotic Whelan is in his head movements each time:
He looks at punter waiting for signal
He then looks down to confirm spot
He then looks at LS ass awaiting snap.
Its cool during TC and preseason while you're trying to sync up with a rookie kicker. But he's probably going to have to vary his sequence timing a bit - or the wings will jump the snap like we saw vs Seattle.

Crosby was among the highest paid kickers for several years despite him being a below average kicker for most of his career. While it's only peanuts compared to other positions there shouldn't be any doubt he was overpaid.paco wrote: ↑28 Aug 2023 11:28He still wasn't as expensive as some. Probably averaged top 5 most of his career. But was never really the highest paid.
I decided to look up some stats. Kickers are a bit strange. Crosby is 53rde all time in FG%. That's better than Morten Anderson who's a HOFer. Only 1.737% behind Longwell (35th).
He's 13th all time in FG's made (5th in the playoffs). 6th in XPM.
I just don't see what all the fuss is. He was very good for a long time. Had some rough times, especially later in his career. His pay seemed to be in line with what it should have been. He deserves the recognition he's gotten. Doesn't mean we should sign him now. Ok, I'm done defending and talking about Mason now.
You need to adjust the numbers when comparing kickers from different eras. Andersen made 79.7% (3.4% above average) of his field goals while all kickers averaged to hit 76.3% during his career. The same is true for Longwell (83.2%, 2.6% above average). On the other hand Crosby made less kicks than the average kicker since 2007 (81.4%, 2.5% below average).
Sounds like a Redbreast whiskey kind of night...

Wilson over Taylor? Whoa.
My thought too. My comment in the cuts thread. Seems a lot of the ST's groups getting gutted after putting an emphasis on there last year.
