I will crown Love when he deserves it but I’m not seeing anything worth giving a 2nd contract to.

That could change.

That seems fair enough. I realize your a tough grader, so to speak. I am too many times. However, some of what I have talked about lately in other threads, should give me pause and give Love a little bit of a pass. I have been bitching about Watson never living up to what I expect and being a disappointment at WR. Well if he is the Packers #1 wideout then Love is handicapped by a less than average supporting cast. My criticism of Love would be a bit unfair if that is my take. MVS's epic failure last night reminded me of that. No, I am not comparing Love to Mahomes but it appears Mahomes is starting to feel the pain of not having T. Hill from a couple years ago and an aging Travis Kelce without Taylor swift at the game. :rotf:

Keeping that in mind, He still needs to show he is "the man" but maybe I have been a little hard on him. If Love had the Dolphins supporting cast I wonder how he would look? I have seen Tua (understandably at times) under throw "Cheetah" too many times to count.

Interestingly enough, take a look at Hurts compared to Love.

I'd certainly like to see what Love looks like with that run game and AJ Brown to bail him out 5 times a game for big plays.

The Packers have a pedestrian at best running game even when Aaron Jones is healthy. He has not been healthy very often this season and was absent once again today.

The Packer offensive line went through a lot of early season turmoil due to the injuries to Bakh, Jenkins, and Tom and the poor play of Myers and Runyan. It still has issues, but the OL has stabilized over the past month or so.

The Packers have an unbelievably young receiving corps and two of the most productive members of that group were not available today in Musgrave and Wicks.

Despite these obstacles, Jordan Love looked OK for the first 8 weeks of the season.

Last week he looked better.

Today, Love looked like a top 10 NFL QB.

Would love (pun intended) to see Love continue progressing for the rest of the 2023 season.

Jordan Love has absolutely been a franchise quarterback after the Vikings game.

These last two games have me believing Jordan Love is gonna be QB1 in Green Bay for many years to come.

Yeah I was like 80% there after last Sunday. I'm at like a 90% now.

Thats a crazy stat and hard to believe. I guess my memory isn't as good as I think it is. Im blaming it on Covid. Love definitely looking better as the TEAM is looking better. Maybe thats the key to my overall feelings.

Love threw a ball 53 yards in the air on the first play today.

18 to the 22, so he did what was claimed he could never do, throw it 60 yards! ;)

Oh that's true!! I just assumed from the 25 to 22 because the 25 was the LOS

I do think 60 yards is likely the limit. I think Rodgers did one close t 70 yards in 2009 (on T-day) didn't he?

Love just needed to throw that ball to Watson earlier. I think it's tough throwing to that guy because he is just so fast.

It still looks like he is throwing off his back foot on those long throws and not transferring his weight enough. Apparently it has been a thing forever with him. It could definitely be an area of improvement for him.

That would be amazing. You're telling me who can throw farther?!

Yes, and this "criticism" of Love's throwing off his back foot too often and leaving the ball short, especially on deeper throes, is actually exciting because it demonstrates that he has plenty of room to still grow his game.

This season for me was always about the development of Jordan Love and he is looking very promising on that front.
