From Lambeau to Lombardi, Holmgren, McCarthy and LaFleur and from Starr to Favre, Rodgers and now Jordan Love we’re talking Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football. This Packers Forum is the place to talk NFL football and everything Packers. So, pull up a keyboard, make yourself at home and let’s talk some Packers football.
That sucks. We had a good 4 player rotation in the edge with him, Preston, Gary, and Van Ness. I wonder if Cox steps into that or if maybe they play more of Carl Brooks off the edge.

I think they do sprinkle in Cox.
94/96 played a lot yesterday. Was fun seeing a lot of plays of 4 guys (including LVN) with hands on the ground.
Carlson is 40/46 on XP's this season (nearly 87%). The really troubling thing is he started the season 16-16, so has gone 24/30 since (80%). That is NOT good enough. Also seems to be streaking with the misses.
Perfect for 8 games. Miss one 3 games in a row. Perfect for another 3 games. Miss one 2 games in a row. No misses in the finale and one miss in the WC. It's all in his head.
Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."

They would never admit it, but I genuinely think MLF and Gutey just thought "hey let's get a talented kicker and let him get through the first year with bumps in the road because it's not like we're going to need clutch kicks deep in the playoffs".

But here we are!
They needed a kicker and picked Carlson 100% because of FOMO because he was the only one left considered draftable.

Or maybe our ST coordinator actually knew the kid and had worked with him before.

Nepotism does make more sense than thinking he was actually good
As this twitter post alludes to, the Packers have no No. 1 WR specifically. It's an assembly of players with complimenting parts that contribute to a greater efficiency. It's damn hard to defend when you have no idea which part will play the defining role on a game to game basis.
That said, I can't wait for the rank the roster debates next spring/summer...

why wait, when healthy we have 3 #1's and each have a legitimate claim to that thrown, Watson strikes fear with his speed and has shown he can burn a defense in 1 play, Reed is almost impossible to cover and also has deep speed, Wicks may not have that type of speed, but his route running assures him a step on just about anyone covering him, imo any of these 3 can be a #1, then we have Doubs as a solid #2 type receiver, Melton and Heath #3 and #4 we went from rags to riches at the position in 2 drafts, remarkable plus Musgrave and Kraft, eat your heart out Aaron Rodgers
Peter Schraeger just did a "get to know the Packers young weapons" segment on Good Morning Football saying it's time to stop calling them no-names and "out of nowhere" and learn their names. Clip will probably be posted somewhere soon, if ya wanna look for it
