ZACH ORR is in his second season as the Ravens' inside linebackers coach. Prior to rejoining Baltimore, Orr spent one season (2021) as the Jacksonville Jaguars' outside linebackers coach. He has served in various roles on Baltimore's coaching staff since he transitioned to coaching in 2016 following his retirement from the NFL due to a congenital neck/spine condition. Orr was originally signed as a rookie free agent ILB by the Ravens in 2014.

In 2022, Ravens ILBs Patrick Queen and Roquan Smith were one of only two sets of LB teammates to record at least 60 tackles, 1 sack and 1 INT after Week 9 when Smith was aquired by Baltimore (Houston – Christian Kirksey & Christian Harris). Queen registered a career- and team-high 117 tackles along with career highs in sacks (5) QBHs (14), INTs (2) and PD (6).
Under Orr's tutelage, Jaguars OLB Josh Allen became the NFL's only player in 2021 to register a FR, INT and sack in the same game, earning AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors (Week 9 vs. Bills).
In 2020, the Ravens allowed the NFL's second-fewest points per game (18.9) and produced the No. 2 third-down defense (34.0%), also registering a league-high 25 FFs.
The 2019 Ravens allowed the NFL's third-fewest points (17.6) and fourth-fewest net yards (300.6) per game…The Ravens notched the league's fifth-ranked run "D" (93.4 ypg) and were sixth against the pass (207.2 ypg).

DENNARD WILSON enters his 12th year as an NFL coach and ninth leading defensive backs at the pro level. He most recently spent two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he served as defensive passing game coordinator/defensive backs (2022) and a defensive backs coach (2021). Before serving on the Eagles' staff, Wilson spent four years with the New York Jets (2017-20). Wilson first entered the NFL coaching ranks with the St. Louis Rams (2012-16) following a four-year stint as a pro scout with the Chicago Bears (2008-11). The guy who reported backtracked on his podcast already.

He said he heard from someone he trusts that they saw Parker hanging around Green Bay a few days after his interview. He thought that was weird and asked around other sources he trusted and they agreed that was weird. Then he asked some people who worked in the organization he trusted who led him to believe Parker was offered the job.

In his actual tweet he said hes been led to believe meaning it wasnt confirmed or anything. Bad reporting by a not real reporter.

I like Wilson better than Orr or Parker simply by virtue of experience in coaching.

I love the fact they are meeting with multiple Ravens coaches. If one is hired, it seems likely others will be poached. Might as well give them exposure to the GB front office folks and facilities. I do hope Chris Hewitt is in the mix at some point.

Yeah, I was never sold on Parker being offered the position so soon but found it odd two different dudes were reporting it with "sourced" insider knowledge. I'm actually quite relieved he's not been offered. I don't like his lack of experience coaching at the pro (or any other) level. I'd welcome him with open arms to the defensive staff in a supporting position, tho.

I wouldnt find Mertig. It happens. He got some breadcrumbs and tried to follow a trail and a team source gave him bad information. It happens.

People make mistakes. Hopefully he learns from it. This is the problem with cancel culture. Everyone wants to so badly punish someone into the ground for screwing up. The Eagles and defensive backs coach/defensive passing game coordinator Dennard Wilson have agreed to part ways, a league source confirmed, after Wilson was passed up for the defensive coordinator position.

Wilson was considered a strong internal candidate for the defensive coordinator post that opened when Jonathan Gannon took the Arizona Cardinals' head-coaching job, but coach Nick Sirianni instead went outside the organization to fill the role, hiring former Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Sean Desai.
