'Looks like Wilson was passing game coordinator on two stops as well, so he even meets the Labrev criteria!

ZACH ORR is in his second season as the Ravens' inside linebackers coach. Prior to rejoining Baltimore, Orr spent one season (2021) as the Jacksonville Jaguars' outside linebackers coach. The Ravens were the NFL's No. 1-ranked defense in 2018, allowing an NFL-low 292.9 yards per game as well as the league's second-fewest points per game (17.9).
Orr worked with a Ravens' defensive unit that led the league in both takeaways (34) and INTs (22) in 2017.
2022: (with Baltimore) 2022: The Ravens' inside linebackers unit helped Baltimore's "D" rank in the Top 5 in multiple categories, including No. 3 in points allowed per game (18.5)...ILB Roquan Smith, acquired midseason by the Ravens, registered 86 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 INT and 3 PD in nine games for Baltimore en route to his first Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro honors...ILB Patrick Queen set career highs in tackles (117), sacks (5) QBHs (14), INTs (2) and PD (6).

If Parker did in fact have the job, then why did we just schedule a interview with Wilson? unless news of this Wilson interview has been a slow leak? :idn:
Either Parker declined the offer or the Packers never offered. My guess is the Packers never offered.

This isn't a slow week. The Ravens coaches literally were still playing less than 48 hours ago.

The guy who reported backtracked on his podcast already.

He said he heard from someone he trusts that they saw Parker hanging around Green Bay a few days after his interview. He thought that was weird and asked around other sources he trusted and they agreed that was weird. Then he asked some people who worked in the organization he trusted who led him to believe Parker was offered the job.

In his actual tweet he said hes been led to believe meaning it wasnt confirmed or anything. Bad reporting by a not real reporter.

Be a good test to catch the snitch.

Let it 'slip' your 4 biggest suspects that each of the 4 candidates has been offered the job.

See which story ends up in the media.

I like Wilson better than Orr or Parker simply by virtue of experience in coaching.

I love the fact they are meeting with multiple Ravens coaches. If one is hired, it seems likely others will be poached. Might as well give them exposure to the GB front office folks and facilities. I do hope Chris Hewitt is in the mix at some point.
Pckfn23 wrote:How about now?
Yeah, I was never sold on Parker being offered the position so soon but found it odd two different dudes were reporting it with "sourced" insider knowledge. I'm actually quite relieved he's not been offered. I don't like his lack of experience coaching at the pro (or any other) level. I'd welcome him with open arms to the defensive staff in a supporting position, tho.

Anyone know how or why Wilson left philly after 2022?

Did he get to interview for their DC job? Seems like he ended up getting a slight demotion there from 2022 to 2023.

However, looking at the Eagles D in '22 and Ravens D in '23, sign me up for either.

lol if he had no desire to increase his name or fame, he would have let anyone else in the world break the story.

He heard something, he wanted to be first, and now nagler should fire him from his Cheesehead Tv operation.

I wouldnt find Mertig. It happens. He got some breadcrumbs and tried to follow a trail and a team source gave him bad information. It happens.

People make mistakes. Hopefully he learns from it. This is the problem with cancel culture. Everyone wants to so badly punish someone into the ground for screwing up. If Nagler is a good mentor and boss he uses this as an opportunity to teach his employees from this incident. Not beat on him when hes down.

i'm happy to see Lafleur interviewing multiple schemes. At first it seemed he was content to just stick with the Fangio/Staley style which I'm not the biggest fan of for the personnel we currently have.

Per ESPN reporting:
The Eagles and defensive backs coach/defensive passing game coordinator Dennard Wilson have agreed to part ways, a league source confirmed, after Wilson was passed up for the defensive coordinator position.

Wilson was considered a strong internal candidate for the defensive coordinator post that opened when Jonathan Gannon took the Arizona Cardinals' head-coaching job, but coach Nick Sirianni instead went outside the organization to fill the role, hiring former Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Sean Desai.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/357 ... -part-ways

He apparently had the strong backing of his players. Sirianni went a different direction despite their endorsements, though.
