Dillon runs hard. I'd like to see more of him.
I'm just blown away at the lack of offensive talent we have.
In other news though, a little concerned with our first huge NFC game coming up with Clark, Linsley, RG and Davante Adams all hurt.
Take away the last 14 seconds of a half and consecutive Quarters of 4 (MN) and 5 (DET) and I love our defense.

I Do Not Hate Matt Lafleur
LaFleur pulled off a completely different game plan and calls compared with the MIN game, and it worked.
Even with some injured OL, TEs making mistakes and WRs dropping some.
OK.
On D, those wishing for UTTER WORLD DOMINATION will certainly be disappointed, but a pick-6 INT and 4 sacks... That's tolerable.
The D has scored 8 points for us directly in two games.

It almost makes me feel better about the team to see them sorta play like crap while still dominating a division opponent and putting up 40+ for the second week in a row.
It's a reminder that we have enough talent and playmakers to make it look good even when it doesn't go perfectly.

I was trying to make a joke but it didn't come off right (plus a little frustrated cuz I was playing Stafgord in FF lol). You're right, not much to be pessimistic about right now.Pckfn23 wrote: ↑20 Sep 2020 14:47Predicting Doom. That's fun! Come on man! Their 1st quarter sucked. They locked it down in quarter 2 and 3. Gave up essentially a garbage TD there. They need to improve, no doubt, but doom and gloom at this point is... dare I say, pathetic?kyle.mccarroll wrote: ↑20 Sep 2020 14:37It's gonna really suck when we enter a 4th Q and not be up 3 scores with this defense.
I told someone I was watching the game with today that when last year's team didn't play a complete game, they needed to squeak it out at the end. This year, when we've had lapses for a quarter or so, we still win handily. That's exciting.

Right guard. No player specifically. That position is musical chairs and it it concerning against teams with good DTs.
Patrick was a contributor of taking points off the board today.
It's really cool. And was why I was surprised about all the b*tching with the lack of WR pickup in the draft. Like this ain't MM's system no more.
I didn't even care when Adams was on the sideline. We just get everyone involved.
Big game for us coming up though. We have three huge road games and it would be great to get 2 of em. We really miss Kenny Clark.
BUT. I will say and give credit to Montravious Adams. He didn't play much (played a bit more when Lancaster went down). But there was a series where was really, really good. Had a great solo stop for no gain and even on that moronic brain fart by our defense where AP fake our defense going left and he had a wide open hole to the right....I actually though Montravious Adams set his edge very well for being the D Tackle.

Ya know what I think I noticed about this announcing crew?
I think since it's a sorta inexperienced group of guys, they jump into their prepared content a little too early in the game/telecast. They seem eager to say what they want as the game is still establishing itself, and the play call then feel sort of rushed and hectic, but as the game goes on and they run low on their research. And then it settles in a little.
Included in the "prepared content" is Jennings explaining route concepts early and then not as much late. It's interesting but time consuming in a fast-paced job.
