Fantasy Football 2020

Cheesy topics (like the Cheese Curds thread) go here. Topics that aren't Packer related will be moved here as well.

Mmmm.... cheese.

LeVeon Bell released by Jets.

I may get some return on him this season after all.

Anybody else thinking about streaming the GB defense/ST this week? With all the injuries on that SF offense and the short prep week, I'm seriously thinking about it despite our recent defensive woes.

Wouldn't be the worst decision ever. We have just struggled to force turnovers, and you know you are not getting a defensive score. Could be a safer play, but I wouldn't expect to get huge points out of them.

I'm thinking if ever there is a week when Pettine plays a little more aggressive i.e. allowing more man coverage and focusing on the run/pass rush, it's a week playing a backup QB who is missing his top three WRs, his All-Pro TE, his starting LT, and his top three RBs. Between sacks, hurries, and miscommunications, I think it's ripe time for some turnovers and accompanying defensive points.

Did I mention this is all during an already short practice week with an additional practice day eliminated due to a COVID driven facility shutdown?

Speaking of which, if Pettine doesn't show some faith in his coverage guys and again allows the Niners to run all over his defense, I'll be leading the charge for him to be fired.

Yeah that sucks, they performed well but didn’t have great fantasy points.

Gunzaan, you star hasty?

I started Reed in 2 leagues cause I figured they would give him tons of looks in garbage time. Not good.

Yah, bad night in fantasy land. I started Hasty. At least my opponent started Tanyan.

I'll one up you, I had McKinnon rostered, but I drank the Kool-Aid - released him - and picked up/started Hasty.

Injuries have decimated me this year. Barkley, Chubb, Kittle all on one team.

I’m using Hasty because of exactly that same reason.. Barkley, Ekeler, Mostert, Gaskin now.. it’s been a rough year.

It's fantasy playoff time!

...well, for those of you who made the cut, anyway.

Have an interesting choice to make this week for one of my RB positions:

(1 pt/10 yds; 0.5 PPR)

Josh Jacobs vs Denver
Wayne Gallman vs Arizona
Raheem Mostert vs Washington

This position is my RB2 slot and really doesn't offer a bad response. I think they all have decent floor and potentially high ceiling. TBH, I'm just looking for the option that provides high potential points while offering minimal threat of torpedoing my season with a dud game during opening playoff matchup.

I have my tentative choice. Thoughts?

On to the semi’s...

Who are you starting? (1 pt/50 pass yds; 1 pt/10 rush yds; 6 pt/TD)

Justin Herbert @ Las Vegas Raiders
Russell Wilson @ Washington Football Team
Jared Goff vs NY Jets

Russell hasn’t been Russell of late and he’s facing a tough WFT defense on the road. But he’s still Russell.

Herbert has cooled from his initial great success but he’s facing a Raiders defense he had his way with back in week 8.

Goff facing the Jets at home. Enough said.
