Yup. It'll be a formidable opponent. But I think we are better prepared than last year.

That's not nothing because an ILB is able to grab INT's but with a club he won't. Didn't he actually have such a scene in the game?

Last year the 49ers were an absolute powerhouse of the NFC. TB is not near them (which doesn't mean it will be easy of course). Plus AR is way better than last year, our WR's are better, our run game is better, and our defense is at least not worse. And Brady is in an age that can show at the end of a season. We have a 60% shot to win this.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑18 Jan 2021 02:53Yup. It'll be a formidable opponent. But I think we are better prepared than last year.
In fact I'd think KC vs. Bills is closer than our match-up, wouldn't u think?
There are years when the #1 seed is not really the #1 seed. It doesn't happen but it does happen. The 2010 Atlanta Falcons and #2 Chicago Bears were such teams. And that is why we beat both of them.
The 2020 Green Bay Packers is a legitimate #1 seed in the NFC. I think we are about even with the Chiefs and Bills if we were in the AFC.
We deserve to be where we are at. We are the better team and we deserve to host the game. I am very confident we win this game. The key for the Bucs is to stop the run and make Rodgers beat them which honestly isn't a great 2nd option for the Bucs.
Last time we played the Bucs they successfully took Adams and Jones out of the game. That is a rare thing and I don't think it happens again.

The Bucs just totally eliminated Michael Thomas, too, so maybe they're pretty good against #1 WRs... but agree it's unlikely to strike twice
We didn't have Lazard in last game either. I think his presence will help.

Carlton Davis is legit. He came back in the game though. But I really Adams is up for the challenge.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑18 Jan 2021 13:17The Bucs just totally eliminated Michael Thomas, too, so maybe they're pretty good against #1 WRs... but agree it's unlikely to strike twice
The encouraging thing though is last Saturday, the Packers didn't force anything to Adams. We had some set plays for him...a few WR screens, but other than that there was a complete willingness to go other places.

He’s decent. He gets away with a lot of grabbing. Refs can’t call it every play. Gotta look for some double moves against him. He’s not all that fast so he can be beat deep and give up holding or DPIs.go pak go wrote: ↑18 Jan 2021 13:48Carlton Davis is legit. He came back in the game though. Cancelled by the forum elites.
I really hope MLF does some tendency breakers like that. The Bucs corners LOVE to sit and be aggressive. Especially on 3rd down with a blitz. If we can stay with the chains, beat em on a tendency breaker over the top.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑18 Jan 2021 15:14He’s decent. He gets away with a lot of grabbing. Refs can’t call it every play. We have all said it before. MLF did not call a great game week 6. Better preparation this time can go a long ways for us.

Nick, I did a google search of the Jersey Store to buy something to keep supporting them and see they closed.
When did they close? Did they do it because of Covid? Are you hearing if the owner will re-open shop next year?

Yeah, sadly they closed down during summer, because of low traffic because of the pandemic. Major bummer.

OMG I have been looking for that breakdown since Bakhtiari went down!
Nice find.
