Man, I really needed something today.
Options are dwindling.
We can still shore up the OL with developmental guys I like. But man, the explosive options, even as role players, on offense are thinned out. Plenty of gadgety RBs but we're pretty stocked at RB right now.
There's still maybe a Quez Watkins, and Proche does have those great hands. But Mooney and Coulter and DPJ were about the last sub-4.5 guys I like at WR. We're not getting that dynamic aspect we need to add to the offense this year and I'm really morose about it. It's not a knock on the picks we have made, but not getting any sort of boost, even of longer-shot Day Three hope, today is really draining the energy I have to feel ok about this.

Yeah, I was legit banging the table for him to be exec of the year last year and I think he deserved it. So I'm not, like, MAD. And I don't think he sucks.
But man, I am drained. I'm disappointed. I'm frustrated that we haven't managed to add a single dynamic explosive element to our pass catchers this offseason. Maybe we'll sign Taylor Gabriel next week as a sad consolation.
Well ESPN clearly has no idea about Kamal Martin calling him a "coverage" linebacker because they read he had 2 INTs

Thought the same thing. Guy is too slow for coverage. Don't look like he can turn very well.

I think he was called on in those situations in Minnesota. But clear that's not his game. Though Brandian Ross they said they like his versatility. But his path to the roster is ST right now. Kirksey, Burks, and Summers will all be ahead of him.

God... he's been Mel's best available for an hour and a half.

Lets not forget the supplemental draft which figures to be absolutely massive.
The NCAA is going to be far, far more conservative than the NFL when it comes to playing games. While the NFL can certainly go to fan-less TV only, the NCAA is far less likely to do so. If it isn't certain the season is going to happen mostly normal by the time the supplemental deadline hits, there is going to be a massive surge of players declaring for it, and a decent % of the 2021 draft is going to happen in the 2020 supplemental draft.
While I haven't heard any discussions about it, its certainly possible that they will work out a deal that lets players keep eligibility even if they declare for the supplemental draft. In which case the whole senior class will declare for it.

Oh shoot! Bravvion Roy went off the board and I hadn't noticed. UGH, my favorite 2-gapper left.

I think people read the NFL.com write-up and are taking that as the end all be all...Pckfn23 wrote: ↑25 Apr 2020 15:17He is too slow for coverage?TheGreenMan wrote: ↑25 Apr 2020 15:13Thought the same thing. Guy is too slow for coverage. Don't look like he can turn very well.
