I dont think i ever did. I did a 2019 season rollcall, and had over 2000 post on the other forum, but i think this was just always a sticky that i never paid attention to on the last forum.

In defense to Pckfn, I always think you're a former member of ours, Dubyajay87. He hasn't been around for years though.

There's little obvious reason to choose Finland as your holiday destination - we have no Pyramids, no great works, and no tan to get. But I can give you a few not-so-obvious ones.

The very bestest thing we have is a lot of space, quiet, and room to be at peace. Any visitor to Finland should rent a cabin by a lake for a weekend, or visit mine. Chop up some wood, heat up the sauna, take a walk in a forest, gather seasonal berries, whatever. It's all in beautiful nature, all stress swept aside. Nothing is complicated at the cottage.

If you go up North, there will be raindeer everywhere. They roam free, including on the roads. The air is so clear, you'll see so much more of our universe. If I find you laying in the snow, just watching the stars, maybe even aurora borealis, I'll just bring an extra blanket.

The society we have is an interesting one. If you think "socialism is an evil virus of Satan", then you'll find out how a country can do pretty well with it. Finns will tell you it's no Utopia, but somehow it works for us.

or the "you pee" of Michigan actually I think 20% or more of yoopers are of Fin ancestry, I think we share about the same weather to, and I have deer in my backyard every morning, the borealis might be a bit brighter across the pond, I only know when there turned on here there bright enough, I left this area twice for greener pastures, never found it, so I keep coming back here, course I'd love to take a vacation to Finland though, that it's a lot like this place is what attracts me, I'am sure theres enough of a difference to entertain me.

I have visited Helsinki, Sal, loved it, and would have been back in August if not for the problem we had with Corona beer. I guess. I get confused. Anyway, the trip got cancelled. Hope to make it next year. Love Helsinki, beautiful city, but looking forward to getting north. We have friends there we met when we visited last time and have stayed in contact with.

Also, Jimmy Buffett has a song about Finland. "Finns to the left, Finns to the right ..."
