I guess I should be happy about a road split against our rival but it feels like it should have been more.
Speaking of tough, what is up with Cain at the plate? Dude looks like he's swatting at flies up there. Completely out of synch and struggling mightily. I don't know if his defense is so superior to keep him in the starting lineup anymore.

Not everyday a 1st place team trades one of the best closers in baseball. But I understand as well why they had to move him. But curious what his market would have been this coming offseason. He has been a bit shaky as of late. Maybe this pushed them to make the deal? Sounds like they got a fairly decent return.
Have to think this isn't the last deal the Brewers make.
So I assume Williams moves to the closer role now and Box bumps up to setup. Should we assume Counsell now goes to a 2-inning close-out model rather than the 3-inning model he used with Box-Williams-Hader?

We got a closer back in the deal too. So I imagine it'll stay the same 3-headed group. But they may swap around.
Knowing next to nothing about the prospects the Brewers got in return for Hader, how is everyone feeling about the trade?
From what I've read, we probably should have gotten a bit more. But there's promise in a guy or 2 for now and down the road. From a return standpoint, we should have traded him last offseason/spring. But it sounds like we probably got more now that we would have after the season.
So I'm a bit on it and we'll see. But we didn't seem to do much to help ourselves this season. Going to have to hope that bats continue to wake up and that pitching doesn't falter.
Alright, this is better, let's hope the pen does not blow it...
