Yeah I don't think cap worries me too much. You can clear out a cap issue in one season. So if our dealings ends up with a Rodgers SB ring in 2020...I say go for it in 2021 and 2022 and then clean house and restart with Love if they don't bear any fruit.
I think that should be the plan even if they DO bear fruit.

But we absolutely have to win one of the next three Super Bowls for me to feel content with this phase of the team (the early-MLF, late-Rodgers phase, we can call it. EMLR for short). I rarely put a standard that high, but we have a really great window right now.
Agreed. So let's get it done the next 4 weeks. This is our best shot.

Not pretty for GB either though - only like 5 teams in worse shape than us right now.
Yep, as it stands. What this cannot show, though, is all the easy avenues teams have to access cap. Release players with high salary and little dead cap. Extend young stars with big cap numbers, etc. We know our own situation pretty well, but I wonder what some of these teams will have to do in order to break out of the red. I still think there is the potential for some sort of compromise that will avoid the massive cap shrinkage that is being projected.

Only real players on offense I want to keep beyond 2022 is Jenkins, Dillon, Adams and Love. And Lazard too because I love the guy and his attitude.
The best option is to try and trade Love for the best you can get and learn to never disrespect the God again.
Cancelled by the forum elites.

Finally the Packers organization did something to let fans know they are alive. They teamed up with Charlie Berens. This is hilarious.

Wayne Larivee did a great job.

I'm just mad we didn't spend the money to get that really good STs coach.

That was stupid. I understand player resources are limited and finite. But get the coach who is supposedly really good at this stuff.

Speaks would be an interesting guy to bring in, get caught up, have a full offseason.

Wow, that was one of the better one's I've seen. Was getting like goosebumps reading it.

And God, I love it when players 'get it'.
That big G, and everything it stands for? It’s unlike anything in all of sports. And that’s not me being disrespectful in any way to any other team. It’s just that Lambeau Field and the Green Bay Packers ... that’s NFL royalty right there. The frozen tundra, all those historic games, that yellow and green. It speaks for itself at this point.

We all know what this is about. We all get it.

This is what we all live for. It’s what we’re all here to do. Players, coaches, fans … all of us.

This is what it’s all about.

And it all starts right now. It’s gonna be one hell of a ride!

Go, Pack, Go!

4th NFCCG appearance in 7 years. Time to make this one count!

For the regular season this year, the Packers had

48 drives end in TD passes
46 drives end in punts
16 drives end in rushing TDs
16 drives end with a FG attempt (made all)
11 drives end with a turnover
8 drives end with a failed 4th down

This means that not only were there more passing TDs than punts.

But there were more scoring drives than non-scoring drives. 80 to 65.
And that excluding FGs, TD drives versus non-scoring drives were 64 to 65.

So we can add in the playoffs now.

4 TD drives
2 punts
2 FG drives
0 turnovers
0 4th down fails

TD drives: 69, non-scoring drive: 67
