The "Chiefs have a bad defense" doesn't really matter here because of the game the Chiefs played.

What matters is MLF sucked at finding the right plays to beat their cover zero blitzing and the Oline and Love sucked at executing the plan.

But the Chiefs defense doesn't really matter here.

Why? If you play a bad team you should look better.

Rodgers - His 1st preseason he looked horrible. It wasn’t until his 3rd year where he he finally showed something.

Love - Basically a redshirted rookie year. He has played 2 preseason games, a few minutes of garbage time and 1 NFL Start. It’s too soon to tell.

Heck of a play Love made to Mercedes Lewis even though it resulted in a loss.

LaFleur didn’t come up with an answer to the blitz. Empty backfields, long developing routes, and not enough use of the RBs out of the backfield (pass plays). Love was getting killed.

We’ll have to see if Love learned anything from this game…not sure when he’ll get a chance to play again though.

There is commentary on a documentary that coaches and other packers knew early on Rodgers was special. They say the things he was doing in practice was not normal.

MLF took the blame for Love’s struggles when blitzed stating he called too many long developing plays and didn’t help his QB enough. MLF is a good coach and it’s exactly what he should be saying to the media.

However, MLF calls plays while the team is huddled up. It is up to the QB, during pre-snap reads, to recognize pressure looks and make adjustments to more favorable plays, as necessary. Whether it be by signals or, as in Rodgers case, just a look it is imperative for the offense to communicate a change response to what the defense is clearly showing.

None of that was happening yesterday. Or, at least, none of it was competently executed.

As several have said, all it would have taken was a couple plays of using KC’s aggressiveness against them and the blitzing would have stopped. Instead, Love was clearly unable to competently make and/or execute those adjustments and the blitzing became the over-riding theme.

Rodgers and Adams, with DA’s elite LOS separation skills, would easily defeat those Cover 0 blitzes. Love and Adams clearly struggled mightily. My guess is it wasn’t Adams. That, of course, assumes Adams, unlike MLF and the O-Line, didn’t lose all ability to function as he typically does and, again unlike MLF and the O-Line, didn’t directly contribute to #whyitwasntjordansfault.

Bukowski is a flop - he is a Rodgers hater. All his videos are the same - support of org based.

His video on Dafney - dumb - it was a block and release - timing is dependent on when he comes off the block - Love just missed the throw also due to pressure.

The play to Lazard was bad. He did not step into the pocket all night. He can see from the field that the middle is wide open and he has lazard running under Cobb so he will have release. Instead of stepping into the pocket his tackles create - his sits on his drop spot and then throws quick to Cobb on a pass he can't make.

Love was bad.

THat JT O Sullivan video is purely click bait. This is also obvious when he speaks about 'Woke' throws etc Guy is a flop and always has been.

Nearly no positives. Makes comments about some play design also being bad, says sometimes Love made right decision but missed throw. Ultimately the video shows how bad Love was. His comments are like "yeah a first round pick makes that throw" "yeah he should've done this".

Missed throws, didn't fix protection, didn't make the right throws.

What was good - his throw to Adams with soft coverage. His throw to MVS which was good play design. His TD to Lazard under pressure was probably best but that corner for Chiefs is horrible.

Love was bad. His pocket play was atrocious. He didn't fix any protection. He missed throws. He made the wrong decisions on throws. He fumbled a snap because he doesn't realize what he is doing. It is probably difficult playing first game at Arrow Head but he was bad.

You literally just take the title as "oh wow some terrible QB was impressed with Love" when the whole video is Love missed this and this etc.

HE WAS BAD. HE PLAYED A BAD DEF AND HAD A QB RATING UNDER 70 - HAD AN INT - MISSED THROWS.

His longest play was close his eyes throw the ball as high as he can to Cobb - basically punted it.

All the commentary is he did bad but hey your sources of Bukowski (who) and JT O Sullivan, who in the actual video just says how bad everything is but titles it impressive from clickbait, override everything else.

imo a lot of what we saw was lack of experience with starters, it'll help for him to get another week of practice with them versus the scout team, only one day of practice with Adams and the rest showed the lack of chemistry.

He was not good, that's for sure, but there was more good than what you will admit because it doesn't fit your narrative.

I didn't say that. I didn't do any of that. I simply commented on one play and how OSullivan said it was a bad design. You are so caught up in Rodgers over team that you can not and will not live in reality and must fabricate things that are not there and are not said.

Packers players and coaches knew early on that they had something special in Rodgers. Before the third season. This was discussed in detail in Jeff Pearlman's biography of Brett Favre, Gunslinger.
