Re: 11/8/2020 Games
The only issue I have with this take us the year Brady got hurt and that other QB now with the Bucks took over. They didn't skip a beat.

Re: Round 6 (209) - Simon Stepaniak, OT Indiana
Seems Gute is just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. Good strategy.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑25 Apr 2020 16:08Listed as OT, but sounds like he played OG
So 3 iOL in round 6?
Maybe we view Runyan as an OT afterall?

Hey - at least Gute is showing he's making an effort to fill need positions.TheGreenMan wrote: ↑25 Apr 2020 14:46Run stopper, will be worthless on passing downs. Don't look very instinctive, but definitely strong.
Ain't going to complain at this point, he's a body at the ILB position.

Re: False Prophet
Well, it's obvious the GM doesn't draft for need. Our biggest needs were OT, WR and ILB and we'll be going into the 5th round with none of these positions selected. The trouble is I don't think you can say he drafts best player available either. They signed Kirksey, ILB huge need not so much, WR no...

Re: Round 3 (94) - Josiah Deguara, TE Cincinnati
Man, I don’t know. Not saying you are wrong, but that pick of the TE/FB looked to me like they were getting the type of player they wanted, for the style they want to implement. I mean he wasn’t even in most rankings until sometime after about 160. Not commenting on whether we should or shouldn’t h...

Re: Round 3 (94) - Josiah Deguara, TE Cincinnati
These comments suggest that the front office actually had a strategy to emphasize the.run and short passing game, but I think it was simply a matter of them sticking to their draft board and taking the best available player each time. If one of the WRs or ILBs had been available that were rated hig...

Re: Round 3 (94) - Josiah Deguara, TE Cincinnati
And this new offensive approach gives the Packers defense time to rest. Then it comes down to not turning the ball over and kicking the FG if needed. The Seattle-Packers playoff game was a great example I think. The game came down to a late fourth quarter possession game. And key first downs were m...

Re: Round 3 (94) - Josiah Deguara, TE Cincinnati
I like this take on things a lot. With Williams and Jones at the end of their contracts I think it makes a ton of sense for the to run them into the ground this year while sprinkling in Dillon to get him some reps. With a strong commitment to the running game, and with the pressure of an actually t...

Re: Welcome All!!!
Hello everyone. Like other new posters here, a few years ago I did a few posts but then forgot my password so I just "lurked" the bulletin board. Now that a new board has been started, I was able to create a new user name and password and may do some posting later on. I have always enjoyed...
