Always kind of like the buy low, sell high mentality, so I would probably wouldn't touch Davante yet, really don't think his asking price can go up anymore than it is right now.

I have a feeling Hanson is a bust. Wasn't too high on him when we drafted him. Sounds like he struggled in August and haven't heard anything since. Isn't he even injured right now? Thought I heard that.
But I agree about seeing if we can draft one. Worst case is use Jenkins as a fall back. I'm not as opposed of putting Jenkins at Center, let's be clear....he is a significant downgrade from Linsley, because we will likely have 4 quality guards without even needing to draft one to start camp.
I just think I'd rather have the weakest link on the OL be at G rather than C
I don't think so, but an elite LG can make an offense so much better. I think the gap from elite to serviceable at Center is much smaller than that same gap at LG. Elite much harder to achieve and serviceable, at that spot, allows for more problems on the OL as a unit.

Yeah, I mean Hansen was a 6th round draft pick and those are always a bit of a crapshoot. No need to worry about "bust" labels or anything after a year on the PS and injured and whatnot...
but yeah, COUNTING on Hansen to come in and start would be a mistake.
But we DO have more OC options than CB or RB options in-house.
I very much think that Linley walks, Jenkins is the failsafe for the spot. Patrick, Hansen, and a rookie draft pick this year compete for the role, and if none makes it into the best five, we have Jenkins there and can easily start some combo of Runyan, Patrick, Turner, Stefanik, and/or an additional iOL draft pick in there.
I'm fairly strongly unconcerned about our interior OL so long as we add at least one draft pick there to add to the young guys competing.
As long as the OL coaches aren't poached and the injuries don't pile up, I am pretty confident that OL won't be a problem in 2021 however they decide to line them up.
